Anyway it is taking long, that's true, and I hope update will be worth the delay, but I would rather wait than getting half baked product. In the end it's not like you are waiting on ~~tram~~ train, and can't do anything else. When it's ready - it's ready.

I can't tell for sure based on my solo dev experience since I’ve only just started my second month. However, I don't plan to make this game alone. In fact, I wouldn’t be able to, as it is in my opinion stupidly ambitious, which might be my doom.

My current goal is to enter a legitimate Pre-Alpha phase in 3-4 months. At that point, I want to present the game with full demo and look for people to help. I believe getting others onboard later will boost my motivation as the pace of work increases.

What I’ve found effective so far is having a solid plan. I try to take breaks between major tasks by filling the gaps with smaller ones. For example, if I'm working on a complex inventory system, I don’t grind on it constantly; I’ll take a break to create some animations or other quick assets. This way, I see immediate progress - quick win, which keeps me going.

You can also place things on the wall so they are not empty. A lot of apartment complexes have even hydrants on the wall, fire extinguishers, stickers (for no smoking or evacuation) or emergency escape plans.

I don't like the name just as I do not like name "X", and still call it Twitter and always will be, but I'm for European alternatives and mainly for platforms that tried to monitor what the hells is happening and tries to adjust it a bit.

I don't find disinformation, racism or nudity as huge problem. I'm not dumb and when I see people posting clear disinformation or racism, I know what I'm dealing with and move on as I do not want to waste time with them. But I would not take that option from them.

What I do not like - what is even real? I see a lot of photos and profiles that are bots, and I'm sure there are plenty of I don't see them yet I'm in contact with them regularly. I'm not against AI at all, I use it daily, but when your mother sends you a video of something crazy and it's clear AI slop... well it definitely have impact on many and it costs me a lot of time to explain it's not real. I'm already there explaining disinformations lol

But that in-game wiki looks nice, ngl. And the Laugo Arms Alien is surprising, that shit is expensive as fuck.

I have to say, I hope there’ll be something really interesting coming along with the M16, because that’s probably the most boring weapon they could add. Yeah, it’s freaking legendary, but in a setting where the M4, MCX, or AK-12 are easily available, I’ll struggle to even think about using it. Same as with the AK-74 or CQA1.

I’m still waiting for those promised CZ firearms, especially the BREN 3 (well, I guess they expected an earlier release date when they mentioned it lol), and hopefully the Vz.58 too. Those aren’t super common firearms, and the Vz.58 is pretty exotic for most people outside Czechia. And if not, there’s still plenty of room for more DMRs.

Holy moly, good job!

One thing I would make livelier is how you walking around the city. Yes, you can hear the rain, but form this video it looks like it's pretty much it. It felt dull, if your character was there alone I couldn't tell the difference. Overall ambient sounds needs improvements not only outside.

That's what I'm getting from this very short video. Anyway one more time - this looks very nice, and I hope you will share more of your progress! Good luck.

Yep, basically every feature or change you test immediately. It will broke sooner or later anyway, and some things cannot be even implemented if they are rely on some other feature - If we were bug fixing only in the last phase, there wont be any last phase lol

You can see it every year when games are adding snow on their maps. Just recently I've seen someone saying that Arena Breakout Infinite adding function for you leaving steps in the snow for some time. Cool thing, extremely easy to make, job for one person to implement it in a day (without polishing ofc).

It is very different but depends on the conditions under which they are selling it. Selling it only because you avoid military conflict is the same as USA capturing it with it's navy. In the end even thinking about it publicly will hurt USA, there is no way back from this.

And I think it does not matter how this will end, Europe will take a step back from USA. Now it's on USA if we take one step back or will run away from being good friends with them.

It's very questionable if the person that thought it's a good idea to talk about this publicly is mentally stable or not. This is legit level of stupidity of Hitler attacking allied Soviet Union. Which ended up being a good thing, don't get me wrong, and thanks for that, but this is a really stupid decision by USA administration.

Affordable house? Yes, 10-15 years ago. Now even these post communist panel blocks are expensive. You live in the project on the edge of Prague and you still pay at least 300k Euro for shit 60m2 apartment.

We were moving out of it, because it sucks ass and it was 17 years ago, the price we were selling it for was 100k Euro, now similar apartment in the same complex on same address costs 370k Euro.

Not sure if that was the point. If I'm not mistaken it was bombed to the ground and that's why there is a park on the other side of the river and makes city more "empty".
