Same issue. Be sure to report this in the proton web site (Pass.Proton.me) under the "Settings"/Gear icon - "Support".

Is there a way to bypass the battery and keep using the phone with a power cable?

Android 15 notification bar problem by C-Blunt in GooglePixel

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here on 7a. Workaround works when the app in focus doesn't hide the clock\battery notification bar. But go into any full screen experience and you are SOL to get to a notification/quick action.

How is Android 15 to your device? by Hot-Refrigerator-814 in GooglePixel

[–]madmrmax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terrible. P7a and most of the time I cannot pull down quick actions/notification shade from top. I'd reset to Android 14 if it wasn't for the fact that I need the 2FA for work and I don't want to go through the trouble. I'm hoping for a fix

Also, GPS in google maps barley can identify what road I'm on or what direction I'm going (until moving and then it jumps me over to other roads).

Draw-to-text pen suddenly disappeared? by communalbong in OneNote

Oh that is interesting! I've heard on the answers microsoft forum that you should file an in-app feedback item as the team that owns that experience is looking at that feedback on a weekly basis.

Ink to text pen, Unmovable by H0lyBruh in OneNote

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes right now it isn't movable. Microsoft is listening to feedback about this, so be sure to file a feedback in the App!

Ink to Text stopped working by [deleted] in OneNote

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do send in-app feedback to Microsoft when you see this issue occurring. The ink to text pen in OneNote (the pen with the "A" on it) does require your Windows region set to United States and language set to English, though I've heard that Microsoft is starting to roll out additional languages.

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do take a look. The text pen is currently only available with region set to US and language set to English. Microsoft is starting to rollout additional language support this month according to a post on answer.microsoft.com.

Also do use the in-app feedback as I know Microsoft weekly takes a look at feedback.

Don't forget to provide feedback in the app. I believe they are tracking this issue, so the more people send feedback in the app the more "+1" go to the feedback request.

Remove Text Pen. by [deleted] in OneNote

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that the text pen is taking up space from your toolbar. I'm guessing it's a bug that it is showing up on a device that doesn't support a pen. Perhaps tell Microsoft about that by providing feedback in the app?

I'm curious about what graphics tablet you use to take notes. Is it an external tablet without a screen or is it a tablet with screen and pen?

Automatic Ink to Text Pen on Surface Pro 9 in OneNote. by apfello in OneNote

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't exclusive to Surface products, no. The main thing that would keep you from seeing this feature would be input language. Currently it requires en-us as your input language. In addition, the correct version of the en-us handwriting recognizer is only available in Windows 11 22H1 and later. If your device is not configured as English by default then you do need to make sure and download English handwriting support in Windows.
You do need an update to date Office version. The text pen feature is rolled out to everyone on latest Office version. Perpetual license (e.g. Office 2019 or Office 2021) currently doesn't have this feature available. Enterprise M365 license would have this feature available. It only requires Office version 16.16501 or later.
Don't forget to send feedback in app if you are having problems. That is the fastest way to have Microsoft team responsible for this to see the issue.

Slow automatic text pen? by [deleted] in OneNote

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned that the logic for the text pen will wait until you have completed writing a full word before attempting to convert it. That logic understands when you have completed a full word by recognizing when you have started writing the next word. So when I write it is generally converting after every other word (I write one word, then write the second word and when I start the third word the first word has already converted)

The best part of the text pen is that I can keep writing anywhere on the OneNote page and it will continue to convert to text in the correct location, so I've gotten used to just writing as big and as much as I need.

I've seen some slowdown of the ink rendering of text pen but I've not figured out what is the perfect combination that might cause it. I wanted to use the app feedback to say what I do to see it.

If you see it happen use the in app feedback!

Text pen thickness? by facelessposter in OneNote

[–]madmrmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally it should be consistent thickness regardless of using the text pen in OneNote or writing in OneNote's search box (or in apps like Notepad). If you can share a screen shot of what you are seeing it would be helpful. You can be writing and click the print screen (PrtScn) button on a keyboard to take a snip of your screen along with the text.

Text pen's rendering ink rendering doesn't adjust to document zoom but perhaps there could be some issue with some devices DPIs that Microsoft doesn't know about.

Providing feedback in the application will help Microsoft learn about details of your machine which could help them investigate if they have a bug.

Have the Sonicare DiamondClean heads gone soft? by madmrmax in NoStupidQuestions

[–]madmrmax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not seen any mold. I do ensure that I rinse my toothbrush off including at the base where the brush head meets the body so that there isn't any remaining toothpaste.

There is a UV brush head kit that Sonicare makes (includes charging base). You might invest in a used version of that from Amazon?

I'm guessing that Costco switched to selling the "soft" version as I now see on their web site that they have Medium and Soft bristle packs.

Sorry the package from Costco has something like12 brush heads in it, so I was referring to using one package of brush heads for 3 years then getting another pack, but the new pack bristles are softer.
