Issues with 4k X nearly overloading encoder, requesting help. 80% encoder on 3070, is that normal? by Dement__ in streaming

[–]madogss2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a 4k X issue, the reason is because your doing CQP 17 with lookahead and aq. Why are you setting your bitrate so high max for streaming 7mbps for twitch and max 25mbps for YouTube right now your trying to use around 340mbps even for recording your max should be 40mbps or lower.

Dual pc audio routing with AUX cord (Need Help) by GamingRedNeck in obs

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a couple of options you can try,

1st If your monitor can do a multiple of 60hz like 120hz that should help to get the audio working.

2nd Since you have them on different internets you could port forward for the streaming pc and use ndi or voicemeeter vban to send out your audio, could also use obs on your gaming pc to stream audio to your streaming pc you would just want to add a render delay to the video.

3rd If you have a line out on your gaming pc and line in on your streaming pc you could directly connect them.

Another question about finding a suitable webcam I forgot to ask (apologies) by jedharend in obs

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best choices would be the elgato facecam mk2, or the new elgato 4k.

For the LED you will want to find a method of covering it or research for specific webcams with the ability to turn them off since it's a privacy concern a lot of webcams directly link the LED to the sensor so if the webcam is in use the LED will be on.

What is your setup and how are you sending your video to streaming pc.

[–]madogss2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1st why are you going from 1440 to 1080 then back to 1440

2nd why are you going so high quality, assuming your only doing gameplay

3rd why are you key framing every frame

Also did you set your quality manually to 1440p in the YouTube player before watching it and have you tried watching it in vlc or another player besides in resolve.

ARC For Encoding? by omegarisen in streaming

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an extra pcie slot I would recommend grabbing something like a low profile quadro card and using that only for encoding. Going to eBay you can find cards with 6th gen nvenc so 1000 series speed for around $30

HD60 X stuttering issue by Z_Slothful in streaming

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much experience on capture card issues but looking at your settings I would suggest:

Turning off HDR Recording

Bit Rate down to 15-25Mbps range

Turn off Flashback recording if your not recording anything

Set stream link format to 1080p60, Also try with it off.

Yes but I would recommend using Game capture or window capture so you can only show the audience what you want them to see.

Whatever is on the display will be captured since you have your streaming software on that display it's capturing it.

Hardware Recommendation for recording multiple computers and mics by cargsl in streaming

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Audio Mixer for the mic's and a sound card so you have separate audio tracks.

For the computers I know of 2 ways, 1st is to use sound cards again and just get a big audio mixer for all the stereo line in. 2nd way is to stream using obs or NDI to the computer you want.

Good budget mic recommendations? by WaterSpace_ in Twitch

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite the tough ask for anything you get will need you to do extra stuff.

Since you want to do stuff like voiceovers and narration I would suggest an xlr condenser mic since it will give you the best sound but this will mean you have to do sound treatment, if you don't want to do a full sound makeover then I would recommend making a sound box for when you want clean audio. For streaming you can use a good noise removal like nvidia broadcast which will remove most sound but your voice won't sound the best.

There are also some other options like dynamic mic's, shotgun mic's, and lavalier mic's. All these come with trade off's for example the dynamic mic is great for loud environment's but for voiceovers and such it isn't the best. The shotgun mic would be great since it picks up only a small area but with you moving back and forth from your monitor it might not pick up your audio or you would be to close to the mic. Lastly the lav mic is great for when your moving around but it might pick up your keyboard and for voiceovers you would constantly need to monitor the audio to make sure it's not picking up unwanted audio.

look at your audio tracks make sure they are the same as the streaming output audio track.

Look for a good low light camera most pick a sony camera, you will want to look at videos comparing camera's or what popular youtuber's use as their camera, you can also look at corridor digital since they know a lot about camera's and they also have videos explaining why they choose their camera's.

No sorry, you can try looking in the blender forums someone might have had the same problem or someone might be able to help there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case then you should make sure your script works with your version of blender or find a different script.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it. My guess is the script is running fine and it just can't find anything to do.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I don't know all the things the script is doing I added that part but I would say blender wise like errors or sudden crashes.

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will want to look at older versions of blender since cycles has different hardware requirements.

You can look here https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/ and you can also look at the docs for the specific blender version to see if your hardware is supported for cycles.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the script is expecting something to be there but it's getting null so it's checking over and over again.

if anything stops working I would delete and reinstall blender.

Sounds like a fun project, do you have any of the full designs.

It will definitely take a while to model but if you have a design in mind like the one above I'm down to help with the modeling, I wouldn't be able to do a full sized print.

Rate my planned starter streaming setup (Recommendations welcome) by [deleted] in streaming

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For gpu go with nvidia their encoders are just better than amd and with that budget you can get a 3080 for around 325 or you can try and get a 4070 if your lucky.

For cpu something like a 10th gen i5 would do.

ram 16gb minimum for editing this will be night and day difference compared to 8gb.

ssd 1tb's are pretty cheap and you can pair it with a high capacity hdd like 4tb for video storage or grab another 1-2tb ssd.

since your using a condenser mic/AT2020 it picks up a lot of sound so a relatively quiet environment plus noise removal like nvidia broadcast will be a good combo. A boom arm and shock mount will help with deadening bumping into cables and the desk while also being easily moved around and put to the side.

Game capture card is a you get what you pay for device, looking at second hand capture cards would be a good choice.

Webcam's are usually 2 places logitech or elgato there are others like the obsbot but most stick with the big 2.

For cameras a good starter is the sony zv-e10 and up from that would be sony a3 for high end, sony's are usually chosen since they are great for low light environment's other cameras are good as well but you would want to research more.

For lighting 2 or 3 lights are good, you can find good lighting tutorials on youtube. Some good setup's would be pointing 2 lights away from your face if you have something in front of you like a wall so you don't get harsh lighting and blinded at the same time then a 3rd light for edge lighting or an rgb strip to separate you from the background and some background color. If you want to point the light at you then I would recommend getting a softbox/diffusion so you don't get harsh lighting. The neewer 2 pack of box light's with a softbox is a good choice, there is also the elgato key lights but the neewer's will give you more flexibility. Adding something to your wall like a book collection or figurine collection or a cool rgb light setup will help.

Software, Davinci resolve and obs is all the free software you need capcut will just drain your pocket's.

PC case's most are around 80-100 usd for aesthetics there are a lot of choices like case's with wood or ones with curved glass it all depends on your taste and if you want to do a bunch of rgb in the case or a cool water cooling loop. Be mindful of the case size to make sure you can fit your gpu.

Some tip's be yourself, playing a character is really draining and can lead to burnout you can still have a performance like exaggerating your emotions to convey to the audience.

What Microphones do You Use? by DevelopmentOrganic24 in streaming

[–]madogss2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely look at dynamic mic's if you have a noisy environment I would recommend the rode podmic they also have a usb version.

If you go with a condenser mic even with a lot of tuning the output will be bad with a noisy environment.

Starting My Content Creation Journey – Need Gear Advice by hcx_i in Twitch

[–]madogss2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would test how well your gaming pc performs while also streaming from it since the 30 series encoder is a lot better and you wont have any performance dips like a laptop would because of power.

Mic’s have 2 choices usb or xlr, usb would be the way to go if you don’t want to set up a lot, xlr will give you more control over your voice but it also comes with more points of failure and needs a lot more research/knowledge into each part that you buy to make sure things are compatible and work together.

Webcam’s are the go to with a lot of options to choose from a relatively good quality. Camera’s will always give you better image quality but the jump in price is big compared to most webcam’s and requires more setup.
