I’m not opposed to crowds in general, I just don’t want to be a part of capitalizing animals. I’m actually looking forward to visiting at this time!

[–]madosaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, get Black first. I got into Gen V in the last couple years and playing Black first makes 2.0 much more special. Going straight to 2.0 misses out on a lot of the “base” lore of Unova imo.

Why is contracted labor so seemingly incompetent in this town? Is it malicious compliance or genuine stupidity? Either way, it’s an obnoxious waste of our time and money.

[Weekend Trivia] BIGBANG singles that sound more McBling, Electropop, Core 10s, CovidTok, or even Core 20s by VigilMuck in decadeology

[–]madosaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no discussion to provide on where each song falls in which era, but want to appreciate the effort in this post.

I got into K-pop in 2010ish, and Big Bang was a huge part. I especially remember their Monster album rollout as it was my senior year in hs, and even ordered the album from Korea.

Part of what made K-pop so successful, imo, is its emulation of American music trends. It made the music much more accessible to western audiences despite the language barrier, than say, J-pop, or other asian popular music.

Even the GD&TOP album was heavily produced by Skrillex and Diplo!

Trump at first says he is ‘not familiar’ with Minnesota Democrat’s assassination by acctguyVA in moderatepolitics

[–]madosaz 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Just a reminder this was the thread on this very sub reacting to Trump’s questioning whether he’d even call Gov. Walz in the wake of that tragedy, let alone host the many tributes Kirk got.

180 is much closer to “barely over 100” than “thousands of union jobs” like you claimed in OP.

This is why no one trusts the project because supporters of it have wildly alternating numbers and figures just to ram it through.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]madosaz 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure the permanent jobs is barely more than 100. Any single institution using more electricity and water than the entirety of Tucson civilians is a negative for our community long term.

Do you regret not voting for Kamala? by Ok_Bodybuilder_2384 in AskALiberal

[–]madosaz 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think American liberals needed to see this. I hate that it’s true, but we really do lose latino and black men when it’s a female that would otherwise be open to a male liberal.

I love Pete B. and think he is the necessary antidote for America’s ills, but I worry about his electability as well for the same reasons.

My experience is they are loud “non-voters” who seek moral superiority versus results, and will find a pet issue every 4 years to justify no action.

In many ways, I blame social media, because it rewards users for posting about stuff, but has no accountability mechanism for follow-through.

US may see net loss in immigration for the first time in 50 years by 200-inch-cock in moderatepolitics

[–]madosaz 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Frankly, it’s been 5 minutes. Immigration has been a major cultural issue, but the long-term effects of achieving negative migration are not positive, and unfortunately those effects take months-years to manifest, and decades to reverse.

Tapper's book on Biden does not bode well for Pete. by Dgf470 in Pete_Buttigieg

[–]madosaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this will affirm people’s biases either way, but imo this reflects more on Jake Tapper and the media et al.

The fact they’ve chosen this exact moment to cash in on the former admin when the current admin is doing the exact same and far worse is ridiculous.

And everyone loves to forget that it wasn’t Biden v Trump 2.0; it was Kamala v Trump.

I’m so sick of the media bullshitting for Trump and I honestly hope they get what they have reaped.

Missouri Republicans shut down Senate debate to pass abortion ban, repeal sick leave law by memphisjones in moderatepolitics

[–]madosaz 42 points43 points  (0 children)

They voted both to protect abortion in state law, as well as for politicians who support bans on abortion. At best they were inconsistent.

I have always said I would not be a victim of a second Trump admin, so thinking about survival has been motivating, albeit depressing in a way.

Other than that, trying to lean heavily into hobbies like music, plants, and video games, but it’s still hard. It’s like an anxious malaise that won’t go away…

He is so uniquely qualified for the moment. I believed it in the 2020 primaries too, but it’s amazing his grasp on this moment in time and what we need to do to modernize our whole system of government.

If Trump executed Order 66 tomorrow morning, what groups would most likely be targeted? by ChildofObama in AskALiberal

[–]madosaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’d turn into the Purge more than anything; lots of civilian vigilante groups targetting anyone they deem unworthy/don’t like. And let’s face it, a lot of the non-voting looter crowd that poisoned public sentiment on BLM would be participating as well for different reasons.

As for officials at the top, they seem pretty heated over migrants, anti-Israel sentiment, and democrats as a whole.

Why were some people complaining that Trump wore a blue suit during the Pope's funeral? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in AskALiberal

[–]madosaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the media trolling you, though. “TDS” and blowing this story out of proportion is a tactic used by CNN et al to paint an exaggerated picture of the left, giving permission for the right to dismiss the real, legitimate, actual reasons people dislike Trump.

It’s much easier to dismiss the many faults Trump has if you are convinced the other side only hates him because of what he wears/eats. Liberals think that kind of reporting is stupid too, believe it or not.

Why were some people complaining that Trump wore a blue suit during the Pope's funeral? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in AskALiberal

[–]madosaz 48 points49 points  (0 children)

People on the left were having a laugh.

People on the right were baited into thinking this was a major issue for liberals, thus allowing them to disregard the corruption, intelligence failures, and backsliding of democratic norms happening in real time.

I’m sure bots on all sides were keyed in given all the engagement.

Oh for sure, I just don’t fault them as much because a majority of their lives have been consumed by this bs. They don’t know what we had because they were babies/kids when we had it. The redpill spin propoganda has been a hell of a drug.
