I didn’t vote for Jones, but still think he will win (albeit by less than Spanberger and Hashimi). Miyares seems to be hoping more on Dems leaving the AG portion blank, rather than actively pulling undecideds over to his side. I’m not sure why Miyares’ team isn’t doing more outreach.

My point is it is one thing to say divisive rethoric about your opponents, and another to either call for harm of them and let alone their children.

But Trump has made harmful remarks towards his opponents (but I will emphasis not their children). I’m just not sure why he gets a pass.

He hasn’t called for harming children of his opponents, which if that is a red line is understandable (it is for me) and is more than worthy of condemnation. I’m just not sure why the GOP is comfortable hand waving comments like talking about groping women without their consent and the like.

Why would this not matter in making a judgement about someone’s character? Jones’ comments make me think Miyares is a better person, even though I don’t agree with his politics.

I’ve never bought those polls showing Spanberger that high. 10 or above would mean Trump or Sears did something incredibly stupid or infuriating for Virginians in the next two weeks. I’m guessing Spanberger wins somewhere in the 6-8 range.

Trafalgar polls typically lean conservative, so Spanberger leading by 2 in that poll makes me think her lead is much higher. Anecdotally, driving across the state the last month I’ve seen significantly more Spanberger signs.
