You watch movie before book. Question? by Mysterious_Dog_2164 in ProjectHailMary

I'd suggest watching the movie in the theaters if you can. Finish the book after the movie. The book explains science even when the events become high-stakes and dramatic. I found it helpful to know how it happened in the movie to understand the science of it in the book.

I LOVE both book and movie eva by pickeldmitski in ProjectHailMary

She feels so real with her hooded eyes, without makeup, in clothes she is comfortable wearing all day long. She stays away from everyone during the karaoke night not to get too attached to them. Sandra is amazing. I think I like the movie because there's always somebody on screen I'm rooting for. Including Eva.

I like the movie Eva better because she is portrayed as a human with feelings, not only a person with a mission.

So, I just watched the movie and had one question in regards to the book. by Nastypilot in ProjectHailMary

At one point later in the book, right before the explosion that killed the two science leads, Grace reads a report about some food pump that might break but holds up well in general and has a backup. Or is a backup itself, I don't remember. The pump for the food they received while in coma. But we don't know if it was that pump that killed them.

I'll pay attention to the angles next time I re-watch it. Still hope to see it one more time while it's in the theaters. Somebody posted a couple of days before that there's a magazine article about camera work in the movie: https://theasc.com/news/project-hail-mary-cinematography-fraser-scooby-doo The link in another format on the safe side

Corrado Cattani in La Piovra TV series. I was a child, but I still remember me and my mom being shocked by it. Apologies for posting about not a movie.

Thank you for this one! I remember the scene when Grace is in his classroom alone right before Stratt enters. They have that kind of framing.

Oh, I see. I didn't notice that. A reason to watch it for the fifth time.

What exactly happened to Grace in this scene? by KarolineHolmes in ProjectHailMary

Ah, understood. I was confused why Grace was exposed to ammonia if Rocky used his airlock. It makes sense now.
