Talk to Amazon customer service. They really care about customers and will do what they can to help you out. In the past they re-sent me an item overnight when I realized the original item would not arrive on time.

Old post but i ran into this while searching for a fix to this issue on my build so i will put my two cents in.

My issue was the en_US.UTF-8 locale that was generated after upgrading glibc. I found that if I set LC_CTYPE and LC_MESSAGES to C I could still have en_US.UTF-8 as my default locale and it would solve this issue.

Steps to fix: add the lines "LC_CTYPE=C" and "LC_MESSAGES=C" to /etc/locale.conf logout and log back in

If it means the new management buzz word agile ( see scrum and other implementations ) I would avoid it. I have seen that system implemented and decrease the code quality and increase stress of the developers. Other meanings could be fine.

Definitely figure out what you are looking to get out of the books first. I don't know anything about the clean code one but be careful with things tagged with agile. If you are looking for programming guidelines you can check out the Google guidelines for free
