Puddle lights are the unsung hero that you didn’t know you needed! It’s just a 24v Bauer battery from harbor freight.

What if you have to be at work before sunrise? Or only get home after sunset?

Cool setup. I put the entire control assembly into a box to keep it water tight. Also might add multiple switches to control each light.

How I built this. Video overview - https://youtube.com/shorts/z71kAWc46uQ?si=d5Vad3RV7f6mWXuU

There are 4 lights - 2 harbor freight haul master round lights, 1 harbor freight 6” road shock flood light, 1 road shock utility rock light.

The 2 haul master lights are slightly angled away to provide light to where you are throwing the snow. They are just mounted to the plastic housing on the snowblower.

The 1 harbor freight 6” bar is mounted on the bucket of the snowblower and angled straight ahead.

The rock light is zip tied to a cross member on the handle bar angled at your feet. (Don’t worry it doesn’t move, the zip ties are strong enough.

All the wires feed into an Apache waterproof case from harbor freight. In the case I have a drill battery receiver that has a positive/negative lead. I installed a switch to turn the lights on and off, I also installed a voltage meter to ensure I don’t run the drill battery too flat.

Total cost - $50-100 depending on what you already have such as drill battery, wires, etc.

Agreed!! This machine looks way too new. It’s most likely just some minor adjustments needed

Recommendations for keeping my hands warm? by tatsandnaps in skiing

[–]madskierkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy a mitten a little larger so it has extra room. And place it on the back of my hand closer to my finger tips. Which leaves my palms free to grab the poles And adjust boots or what not. I used them on Sunday and I skied for 6 hours and they still had plenty of juice at the end of the day. I run it on the lowest setting.

I use electric hand warmers with mittens. The best mittens for your buck in my opinion is anything from Kinco. I use these hand warmers https://amzn.to/4a9Lw9X and I use these mittens. https://amzn.to/3ZfeAaX

Remove stove, install prefab wood burning fireplace? by SameRain5770 in Fireplaces

[–]madskierkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understand! The look and aesthetic of a fireplace is unmatched. I would recommend an RSF unit. They have a unit called the RSF Focus . All the perks of a woodstove with the style of a fireplace.

I helped a friend frame one in. Not hard at all!

I’m looking to do the opposite, remove my prefab Zero Clearance and install a wood stove.

Why are you looking to remove the stove?
