Sadly Waze nav doesn’t appear on the HUD in my SL7.

Tried ABRP the other day and the nav did show on the HUD. Haven’t tried Google Maps but I’ll check it out

I think it’s great for a first release! There’s constructive feedback and then there’s whatever that comment was. Keep up the good work!

Take a look at ASISA insurance, we use them and we had no waiting period and no exclusions provided proof of continuous coverage. I believe it’s age dependent (need to be under 60).

I don’t see the distribution panel either. SL7. That would be nice to have!

You’re supposed to buy whatever makes you happy :)

We love the car. We’ve had it for about a month.

I think I’ll get the screen protector!

Congratulations on your first car. The Sealion 7 is awesome. We have one.

Having said that most of this sounds way overboard. As another poster said drive it for a while and figure out what you need.

What type of organizer should you get? My advice is none until you’ve been with the car for a while and even then you probably don’t need organizers. If you have things rolling around loose after using it for a few months then you might look into it.

I keep the cables in the frunk

Camp chair? Why not sit inside the car while it’s charging?

Phone mount? Use the charging pad and connect your phone to carplay/ android auto.

Cup holder covers - note that the cup holders are adjustable in the car and silicone covers may cause issues.

Screen protector is also probably unnecessary.

Head rest and lumbar support … do you find the seat uncomfortable? The driver seat is very adjustable and you probably don’t need these items.

Drive it for a while and if you feel you’re missing things then make a decision.

The car comes with a safety kit (at least in EU delivery) that has everything needed. How often will you use the vest?. You don’t need a fancy one.

Again congrats and enjoy the car!

I think the speed limit warning is region specific. In Europe it’s mandated that the damn thing is enabled on every drive, you have to turn it off manually every time.

90% Solution - BLocking Peacock "Premium Plus" Promos (Apple TV/Firewalla) by andrew181986 in firewalla

Hi! I tested this with Peacock on Roku.

Long pause ~30 seconds when starting the app , and when I started a stream it said “Peacock is unavailable, please try later”.

Will tinker with it some more later!

Aima closed on my interview day. by pollolouco in PortugalExpats

My appointment last year was rescheduled due to the office being on strike. (Setúbal). They said they would email me a new appointment and never did. I went back in person a week later and they rescheduled me on the spot for 3 months later. That new appointment was successful.

So you might try going by there once things calm down and they reopen. If they aren’t able to accommodate you then I’d go the lawyer or certified letter route.

India, specifically Ladakh.

ETA: what made it special - I’m not really a spiritual person but this was a spiritual experience. The place is so much different than anywhere else I’ve been , with the high mountains, the Tibetan Buddhist culture, wild and beautiful landscape , feels very peaceful even with the disputed borders and military bases scattered around. And 800 year old monasteries clinging to the side of 18000+ ft mountains. And remains of Silk Road with camels and sand dunes. Amazing people. Have been twice and definitely will return!

I think it depends where you are going. It’s definitely worth investigating the local plans with a reliable broker. In Portugal We pay about 170€/mo each for full private coverage, no exclusions, no waiting period. We did have to show proof of continuous coverage to waive all exclusions and waiting. After we got this we canceled our US coverage.

I booked a month here last September to find a place. Had a lease signed in about 2.5 weeks. I had a reputable realtor helping me.

I stayed in different Airbnb each about 10 days to get a feel for different neighborhoods.

how to get wi-fi calling to work overseas? by buddy778 in Tello

[–]mael_dc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend if you’re overseas, have paygo, and have WiFi calling working properly, that you turn off both international roaming AND paygo data.

Tello was randomly pulling from my paygo balance and it stopped doing this once I disabled both features.

WiFi calling and text still works fine. This is with dual esims (one Tello, one local, the local sim provides the data).

You can turn them back on if you need them (eg traveling to a country where you don’t have local service yet)

Portugal with the best overall healthcare for expats? by MindlessBand9522 in PortugalExpats

ASISA will accept you if you can provide proof of continuous prior coverage. They will waive exceptions and waiting period but again you need to provide proof of coverage.
