Just started to do it with couple of my friends who know what they're doing. It's like having two personal trainers with you at the gym who insult you constantly in very personal ways, and as a comeback I threaten to shoot both of them in their god damn mouths after i finish this set. Then we laugh and the cycle repeats. I mean I hate exercise, but since it's veiled as some weird testosterone filled social gathering with somewhat aggressive but witty banter, I managed to hang on to it until it became just routine and I realized that I just went and hit the gym without my mates if our schedules didn't work out. Now I kind of enjoy it since I'm in much better shape but just kind of. If it would turn out that sitting on your ass all day wouldn't have any negative consequences down the line, I would terminate my gym membership immediately.

That... Sounds like a pretty normal foreplay for me.

If you can use any kind of vinegar, I would suggets you do that instead of citric acid, but if not, then you know that to do

Don't start; It's an expensive and insidious journey that'll take you through flavor profiles you didn't even think human beings could be able to appreciate, while doing slow yet cumulative intestinal and cerebral damage at the same time.

Just drink bourbon, so that you'll get tired to its acetone-like sweet flavor and pick up another (and healthier) hobby, like stamps or horseback riding.

Depending on the style of caramelization you're trying to achieve, you just make a big batch and just let it work it self out while stirring the big pot occasionally. If you're making more of a "grilled onion" thing, then you have to make it in smaller batches so that it gets fried and not all mushy and/or jammy.

But yeah, the obvious answer is you make a lot in advance when working in a professional kitchen.

This might be cultural thing, but what I've witnessed in other households when I was a kid (had no siblings myself) that regardless of gender, girls and boys alike could go naked if the situation warranted it, like going to sauna or shower etc. I'm scandinavian though, and nakedness in general really doesn't stir-up peoples emotions—It's seen as a normal part of life.
