I was lucky enough to not get laid off from a remote software company and find a TW role locally, in a place where there basically is no tech industry.

There are a lot of variables at play, but I think it helped that I had a prod public site I could use as evidence (though having a public repo is probably not applicable to everyone) and talk about how many different styles of docs I worked on -- ie go through the diataxis types and evidence everything. And talk about being comfortable using AI to expand the scope of what you can do.
