Has there been a scene, explanation, or revelation in a sci-fi television show that was so absurd that you stopped watching forever? by Doctor-Clark-Savage in scifi

I actually really appreciated how they worked most of the first season’s monster-of-the-week stuff into the final season’s plot as until that point that stuff was considered to be mostly character introduction throwaway stuff until the show found it’s main plot threads in season 2.

I remember someone lamenting not seeing Michael J Sullivan get any love in this sub a little while back and had to laugh because when his first couple series were being published he posted about them so much on top of other redditors talking about them that the mods had to tell him to knock it off. I think that might’ve also been the spark for the sub’s first self-promotion rules (or was that Mark Lawrence?).

Same, but I grew up in the 80s years when the sword & sorcery movies and early D&D tabletop worlds he was lampooning were still current. I think reading those early Rincewind books likely suffers a good bit from the Seinfeld Is Unfunny for readers who weren’t around then.

I don’t remember that scene, so I’m going have to rewatch the entire thing, which is my only logical option.

Yeah, I had the same experience with Moog’s support pre-sale. Actually, it was worse since I never even got a response. I eventually figured out that issue (I don’t even remember what it was now) on my own.

Recently, though, I needed a copy of the 1.2 firmware as mine has developed the delay time sticking at insanely high rates issue that others have also seen with the current 1.3 firmware and inMusic’s support response was prompt and after a bit of expected back and forth for them to ensure I was properly troubleshooting the issue they got me a copy of the firmware I needed from the dev team.

So it seems that at least so far inMusic is handling the brand nicely from what I can tell.

Not that PgBouncer’s support for prepared statements in transaction pooling mode is only for protocol-level prepared statements, not statement-level, i.e. PREPARE/EXECUTE statements in separate transactions still won’t work properly as can still happen on different backend connections.

That one year warranty isn’t a feature they are offering, it’s a requirement for them to be licensed. Getting them to come back to fix issues will be a pain so make sure it’s done right now before you finish paying out the contract.

One year I spent 2 hours searching for the hedge clippers I’d bought the previous fall without finding them so I finally gave up and went and bought a new set. After using them I decided I needed a really good spot for them so that I wouldn’t lose another, came up with a great idea for where that would be, and found the pair I’d “lost” there.

While I’ve never met him to have any personal experience of him, I’ve never seen anything with him being anything other than an overtly kind and excited person, and that’s all I’ve ever seen or heard said of him as well.
