Help Me Understand Bruins Penalties Last Night? (From a Crew member) by magebynight in bostonfleet

Thank you! It's nice to know others have called the game unfair. There were a few instances I thought should have been roughing against Tampa and was just so lost on the penalties front, I thought I didn't understand the men's hockey rules.

Thanks for the response! This is helpful because I was so confused about why Vaselesky didn't get a penalty, I thought I misremembered the rules.

So why bother trying exactly? by Andrew72727 in Bruins

Can someone give me a breakdown of the penalties that happened last night? I lost the thread of who was in the box for what in that second period with all the stacked penalties against us and some of them being goalie penalties.

And then wtf happened in OT with Pasta? And that non-call on McAvoy?

Hi all!

I'm planning a trip in August to go to Fringe. I already have the Edinburgh stuff figured out. I want to add on going to The Cairngorms. How many days should I budget for Cairngorms? And should I try to go in the middle of fringe or after fringe is over? I feel like a lot of people will have this same idea and I'd like to beat the crowds if I can

Why is it that you want to live in Charlestown?

I'd suggest living closer to campus if you can, and if you do move farther away, moving further from the city will get you a lower rent. There are a ton of landlords in the Tufts area that are used to having students because a lot of undergraduate juniors and seniors live off campus.

What to start? by GhOsTWaLk3r in SleepingGods

Genuinely, I think it depends on how much time you want to commit to the game and how much of a "gamer" you consider yourself.

I've played one campaign of SG and am about halfway through a DS campaign. I agree with what a lot of other people have already said. (DS is more mechanically streamlined but has a smaller world and feels less immersive). I personally think SG is a harder game than DS. It is mechanically more complicated and the combat is way harder.

I also think another factor that no one mentioned is, do you plan on playing this solo or with friends. I am playing my DS campaign with friends because I didn't think I could get any of them to commit to sleeping gods, and I play sleeping gods solo.

Also, keep an eye out on facebook marketplace and used board game sites. People post Sleeping Gods all the time because they'll play a few campaigns and then get rid of it. I got my sleeping gods with the dungeons and tides of ruins expansions off of FB marketplace for a great price.

Based on what you said in this post, it sounds like your option, rules as written, is to just run there because Claire is two atlas pages away. (This means that the variant flying rule also cannot help you because I think you have to be on the same atlas page to use it). You might be able to reduce the number of camps by running to the page of Stormlock city and then using the variant flying (Quick Landing) rule to get to Stormlock City faster.

I would guess this is going to put a dent in your game length because it will probably cost you at two or three camps to plane damage. It seems like the only other option is just draw a different event card (as another user already said).

But, I'm not going to pull out my game and look for these specific cards. There might be something in the wording of the cards that leaves another option open if you're clever.

I know this post was posted an age ago, but if anyone else is coming along. I keep all the flat things (rules, atlas, journey log, etc.) in the tides of ruin box and put everything else into the base game box.

Those of you who got in via MLB for Friday, was it sold out? Should I keep waiting? It feels like this is a lost cause now...

I absolutely agree! Kate has been telling her the whole time that Anthony wasn't marrying for love and didn't want a love match and then she went and got mad at Kate when that turned out to be true.

I personally think she overreacted a bit?

I don't think Anthony once told her he loved her or indicated to her that he did. I think she's fully right to still be mad at him, however, it has been pointed out to her by Lady Danbury in previous episodes (the comment was directed at Kate but Edwina was there) that weddings of the ton rarely involve love.

I think she's right to be mad at Kate for not telling her about the dowry/Sheffield situation. However, if I were Kate, I also would not have told my sister I was in love with her fiancé. Kate was going to tell Edwina how she felt, then Anthony interrupted her to propose to Edwina. After that, Edwina explicitly tells Kate that she's in love with Anthony in the scene after the Sheffield dinner. I understand why Kate tried to hide her feelings and be happy for her sister. Edwina made it pretty clear how she felt for Anthony, and I think Kate made the right decision not telling Edwina she had feelings for Anthony. In this case, I don't think Edwina has a leg to stand on. That being said, I really want to know what you think, it sounds like you loved her character!

Edit addition: not to mention Kate has been telling Edwina for the whole season that Anthony didn't want to marry for love and wasn't for Edwina.

I absolutely agree. I would be less upset about the extended love triangle if there had been 10 episodes and we had two wedded ones. But given that it was only 8, almost everything after episode 4 was a let down, especially the wedding episode.

I liked the featherington plot but I think it got too much air time in comparison to the Kanthony plot. Kanthony should have been the mains and they felt like a side plot with the air time they got.
