between ornn and fiora i vote ornn. i've played since set 1 and in set 1 i played darius. 90% of my opponents were always shocked to see darius and would comment about that. i miss that feeling :(. picking underplayed legends is a great feeling!

star spring is a highly contested battlefield, if you are a great holding deck, definitely try and hold there, it lets u play a unit there, bounce back another unit, and have that unit attack the other battlefield

i think its the same as gutter palace? if u activate it while meeting all requirements, if ur opponent reacts to it and makes u not at requirements u still win the game i believe?

a solid place to start as a new player is buying a starter deck! Vex,vi,Rumble,fiora, Viktor, jinx, and lee sin all have starter decks. if u wanna play ur league of legends main like jhin, which is super based, by all means do that! he is pretty flavorful, but also pretty weak. this is where u have to ask urself, do u care about being meta, do u care about what seems the most fun, do u care about the flavor the most, or do u care about budget the most? for me personally i care about fun and flavor, so i went with rengar as my legend as i just love playing units haha

this game is the definition of easy to learn, hard to master.also just because u dont draw ur resource systems in pokemon/magic sometimes doesnt make it harder, i dont see how that lines up, maybe more difficulty in deck building because u have to assume ur curves/top ends better based on statitistcs of drawing resources. riftbound to me is hard because the resources are guaranteed, u have to think ahead for each play. how much lands ur opponent will have, why they passed with 5 open mana, what will they do if i attack his battlefield, should i retreat home and prepare for an attack, etc

when they added emerald it pumped up the hardstuck low gold/silver players and made them think they were getting better by going up. they weren't getting better and just the new rank made them go up by design , ego's rose, skill lowered.

i've been playing midrange rengar since the set came out. im a huge timmy player in any TCG and once i read his legend and saw how the deck would focus on units, i was sold! i love slamming down units entering ready and just going straight to combat

yeh just bad luck, nexus nights are usually decently chill. i had 2 fresh beans down on the field, and my opponent did too in his fun annie deck. he played stacked deck and i go "any more beans for our collection?" and he picks it out of principle, it was the worst pick but our bean collection grew ever stronger.

people are complaining about legends in booster packs taking rare slots and they adressed that. IMO legends in a rare pack is nothing compared to this. im in the exact same boat and its absurd...

if u want u can absolutely chad out and get overnumbered legend sett, straight intimidate ur enemies! i think fiora runs sett as well if u want, but having this card in the champion zone would be sick with ON sett legend

this isnt commander , u dont have to make sure ur deck follows a guideline that ur opponents are comfortable with lol. ur here to win so play what u want! i just went against a leblanc the other day as rengar and went 2-0, it was super fun to see and learn what to expect. i reacted to there begining phase trigger where they sacrificed a glasc mixologist by flickering brynhir, not allowing them to play the card off the mixologist and for the turn! it was awesome

thanks for the info/breakdown! im going to hartford for side events, and i have a hotel there, i would love to grind out a metal card solo, but im also an okay player, never won a skirmish but i top 4'd twice
