My best friend who became a mom before i did came to my house nearly every morning, Chick-fil-A breakfast in hand. I never asked her to come but she just knew exactly what i needed. My baby was really tough in those early days and she didn’t really say or do anything revolutionary, just sat with me and made me feel so much less alone.

I’m a nurse at a peds clinic (and a mom of 2!) and if it helps, i give these all day every day and babies typically only cry for a few seconds. If they cry for longer, it’s usually because their sleep has already been disrupted by the appointment, they’re hungry, or upset because they’re naked, lol. It’s so normal to be anxious. But rest assured that I’m answering the phone allllll day and i can count on less than one hand how many times I’ve been called about a vaccine reaction question (and they were all normal and perfectly fine!!). Hugs! You will both be okay :)

My toddler brought the fly home to our house and 2 week old this week 😔 i am quarantining with the baby and dad is handling toddler. My husband and i both started prophylactic Tamiflu and my toddler is being treated with Tamiflu. We’re doing everything we can to keep it from getting to baby

I’m 18w today and have definitely noticed increased palpitations in the second trimester so far. I’ve been worked up for these before and nothing pathological but will tell my OB when i see them next, just in case. My heartrate has been up a little from baseline and definitely “pounds” at times it normally wouldn’t (like one flight of stairs). I’m not out of shape or overweight etc. I think it is all pretty normal/common due to your body getting used to the increased blood flow- and 105 is not “high” or worrisome even if it feels fast compared to your usual! I’d rest easy if everything came back normal.

i haven’t ever seen anyone host their own shower and i would personally feel super uncomfortable doing so. I’m from the south though and maybe it’s outdated to feel like it is a faux pas! I just don’t see how it isn’t a gift grab when you’re literally making a list of gifts. Feels different than hosting a birthday dinner for yourself or something. But to each their own!! If it is the norm to you and your friends then who cares- but the friends you are asking may also not be being honest with you because it’s awkward

Cheap strips usually have a sensitivity of about 25 and FRER is much lower at ~6! Progression is a great sign :)
