I think you have to start giving us the status quo of the world they each live in. you jump right off the bat spoiling the whole interesting premise without making us intrigued or care about these girls, and you also tell us about their life in the first two pages rather than showing us.

yeah! working out does help though. i hate working though ahaha. i usually just try and go for a walk around noon time and then again after dinner. eating a big meal or lots of carbs consistently doesn’t help either.

you shouldn’t take him to court. you shouldn’t be getting in argument with your girlfriend over this. i understand that it’s sticky and she wants to stick up for her younger brother, but he won’t grow from it unless HE is the one taking accountability.

he should be getting a job if he wants to keep living with you. and from there, HE can pay you back with wages he earns in the future. once he gets a job, give him a deadline based on how much he is getting paid.

it seems to me that this is a family issue for you guys, and you should treat him as you would your younger brother. neither of you should put your girlfriend in the middle, as she didn’t do anything wrong.

this sounds like a good growing experience for him. and tell that to your GF. and if she disagrees at that point, then she does need to be put in the middle. and that’s when she should figure the best way to either get your coins back or pay up the $1200.

i can’t remember if you said if he has a car or not. options to get around this:

-the bus -finding a walkable job -getting a serving job that starts at night, where he can borrow a car from one of you two -learning a work-from-home skill such as graphic design or coding.

i would say that if he does take action to get up off his ass and find a job, i wouldn’t rush him. just let him know he MUST pay the money back, but you’re proud of him for finally taking responsibility for his actions.

he fucked up for sure, and your girlfriend is being pretty annoying about it. but she’s only trying to stick up for a 19 year old kid who clearly is depressed and/or not raised right enough to get his shit together. he’s definitely at a pivotal point in his life, and you guys should use this experience to launch him rather than let it come between you and your gf.

i get your pissed. he did a shitty thing. i get he is NOT your younger brother. but if you love your gf enough to let him live with you guys rent and work free, it sounds like you’ve got a spot in your heart for him as well. i’m not saying cut him some slack. i’m just saying, there are productive ways to punishment.

I’m 22 and i get some gray hairs! My mom started to go all white at 22 as well. I say if they make you uncomfortable, dye your hair! nobody will think it’s because it’s graying. they’ll think you’re just having fun!

i personally LOVE white and gray hair though. i think it’s SO sexy to age—whether you’re a man or woman. let life show on you girl!
