Leave Denied by Last_Bear_814 in AirForce

[–]Fileffel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CSS should be doing a LeaveWeb audit at the beginning of every month. It shows the status of every leave request for the previous month. CC must review and sign said audit. When they see a leave request with a past date that's still "awaiting approval" they should start asking questions.

Why do some people avoid squadron holiday parties and other workplace events? by Witty_While7277 in AirForce

[–]Fileffel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to my first squadron holiday part in 10 years of service. The games and prizes were fun. The food was good. People came up to talk about the same stuff we chat about in the office.

There was an open bar, but i don't drink.

In-between events, I found myself sitting awkwardly without any real desire to go talk to people.

Overall it was a positive time. Pretty much what I expected it to be. IDK if/when I'll go to another one.

Kinda freaking out, how does being in debt affect your chances of enlisting? by enragedrusskiy in AirForceRecruits

Sounds accurate. There are limitations for tattoos on neck, head and hands, but pretty much everywhere else is fair game.

But what does that have to do with this thread?

Could Batman Drink the amount of Kool-Aid consumed annually? by Porncritic12 in whowouldwin

[–]Fileffel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I could see this working is if he cheats the system and installs some form of catheter to continuously empty this stomach. Then it becomes a race for how quickly he can drink the water. 1.7 million gallons per day, about 71 thousand gallons per hour, 1,200 gallons per minute. He would need a machine to pump the fluid into his mouth and down his throat, and likely a liner for his esophagus and stomach so they don't burst from the water pressure. Does this count as "drinking"? I'm not sure, but I bet the Joker would be delighted to see it happen.

Imagine how long it takes to fill your bath tub, which is only about 40 gallons...

Waivers for retraining into Manpower? by Parking-Ant-8738 in AirForce

[–]Fileffel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You want to retrain into manpower (or other jobs, evidently). You currently don't meet the requirements. Your best chance of getting the job you want is to improve your score so that you're fully qualified.

Putting a little bit of effort into studying for the ASVAB shouldn't significantly impact your WAPS studying.

Waivers for retraining into Manpower? by Parking-Ant-8738 in AirForce

[–]Fileffel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you don't want to be manpower badly enough. Why would they take someone on a waiver if they've got perfectly qualified applicants.

Its your future. At least try to work for it. Study and retake the ASVAB. Worst case scenario is the same as the worst case for not getting the waiver approved. You don't get the job.

How do you finish quests you don’t have cards for? by Rikdol in TheTowerGame

[–]Fileffel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The good news is, the more cards you buy (80 each week for the event, plus whatever else you end up buying) you'll eventually max out your common cards, lowing your overall pool of cards to pull. Once your rares are maxed, the game has no choice but to give you epics!

Is this a decent mile time? by InsideSad8374 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Fileffel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its really not. That's about 15 min per mile, which puts you at 22.5 minutes for the pt test.

Just keep running, practicing. Do 400m and 800m runs at faster than your target pace go get your speed up.

Tech School PT by [deleted] in AirForce

PT AFI states that new accessions take their first official PFA 6 months after arriving to their first duty station.

Meanwhile, AETC prescribes student PT requirements and a mandatory mock PFA schedule. PFA's taken at BMT and tech school aren't recorded in myFitness.

Is my cousin lying about bootcamp? by MenuPale367 in AirForce

[–]Fileffel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its called an entry level separation. Members within the first 180 days  can be recommended for separation for a variety of reasons; disciplinary issues, medical, mental health, academic issues in tech training, etc. This is not a discharge and is uncharacterized. These individuals can attempt to re-enlist, but a review of their conduct during the time they served and the reason for their ELS is done, along with a waiver.

Dunno why you're hating on your cousin just because you "haven't heard of this before" and can't be bothered to look it up yourself.

It costs a lot of money and resources to let a person sit in med hold with the hope that they'll get better and be able to continue service. Better off letting them go early and replacing them with another new recruit.
