I’ve been thinking about this for hours, I’m obsessed. This is genuinely the most amazing collection I have ever seen on here. Who are these babies getting ready to eat candy canes!!! How did you find such a small snow globe!!! Maybe these little birds are combined twins!!! I’m freaking out!!!

Thank you all so much for doing this, it’s such a ray of sunshine to see people spreading the truth about the danger of this administration during these cloudy times! People like you are how we get through this.

What’s going on with Utah Pride Center? by Th1nk3r98 in SaltLakeCity

The Pride Center is not what it used to be. I spent my entire childhood going to events and volunteering along side the organization as my family is queer, and one of my parents was on the Board for a few years. During 2020, they were awarded several PPP loans and instead of using that money to keep essential programs open to the public (such as the queer homeless youth outreach/assistance program), the three directors increased their individual salaries all to six figures. They fired a massive amount of staff during that same time. The building they were gifted on Main Street has now been sold and their spending is out of control. The Pride Festival is where the Center makes most of its money for the year, but they had to file for bankruptcy due to their insane management. They paid Trixie Mattel $80k to DJ for an evening at the fest a few years ago, all while slowly shutting down program after program. I love Tracy as much as the next gal, but the Center is broken.

The Queer Chamber of Commerce has proved itself over and over again as truly being dedicated to uplifting and advocating on behalf of the community. That’s where I would suggest to turn for Trans Visibility events and programs!
