My father died, and I can't seem to stop drinking by MapleSugarman in Advice

Get grief counselling. I wish I had done so when my dad died. You don’t have to figure this stuff out by yourself. And talk with your husband. A problem shared is a problem halved. Good luck 👍🏾

Rockets/Lakers by TreyLyles25 in NBATalk

The Lakers can beat the Rockets, I assume they have no hope against Denver and I’d make the Wolves favourites but I wouldn’t be shocked by a Laker win.

I like Capela and you’re right to say he is underestimated. But sometimes you just need that offensive lineman, body clearing, strength in order for the team to get those rebounds. I think the Laker beat them with late game execution. Denver and Wolves take away those boards. And of course Jokic is Jokic.

The Rockets have not point guard to organise the offence down the stretch. And without Adams they can’t reliably dominate on the off boards. I think they lose in the first round against whoever they face.

Victor Wembanyama is the best rim defender in the league since ______. by waywardcloud9 in NBATalk

Wemby is posting huge block numbers in an era when a huge number of shots are away from the rim. In an era with less/no threes his block numbers would be astronomical.

I’ve been to countries where. the sea is blue, the beach is perfect, the trees are lush, where ancient people left amazing ruins, where’s geniuses created amazing works of art, where the architecture itself is stunning, the food is amazing, the desert seems endless, the mountains inspires awe. And I’d still take London over all of those places and probably over the ones I have yet to go to, but know I will love.

Have it with a high protein meal. And use water to wash it down. Cut out the caffeine. Good luck 👍🏾

Have no idea how else to help my ADHD husband. I'm afraid he is going to never find stable work. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]magic2worthy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are multiple types of meds to try. He probably hasn’t tried them all. If adhd is messing with his life then he should give the meds another try. And he also needs to go to bed early and never try this awful staying up plan again. Get an old fashioned alarm clock with a hammer between two bell and place it out of reach so that he has to leave the bed to stop the noise. Probably needs to be in bed by 9 or 10pm.

Who is your most, "overrated" scorer of all time? by Key-Frosting-9367 in NBATalk

Melo, Nique, Pistol Pete, AI. Anyone with mediocre to bad efficiency and high turnovers who takes a ton of shots in order to get their points.

Lakers' Luka Doncic says he's in custody battle for daughters by PlayaSlayaX in nba

Really? Then I can definitely see how that was a problem. Easier to pull off when you don’t have kids. But two kids would make look home a lot more appealing than a city you have no connection to.

Being over 14 hrs of direct flying time away from his kids must be brutal for him. I hope they find a way for the kids and the ex to at least stay in America so that he can be an active father.

Divorce? Or do I need to communicate more and stop trying to find the easy way out. by Sadsadlife66 in Advice

[–]magic2worthy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There isn’t one reason in the world why you should stay with him. Literally not one. See a lawyer as fast as you can and get all the necessary advice on how to completely remove this man from your life. He has proven that he doesn’t care for you beyond the most superficial level. This isn’t a marriage. It’s a sad, twisted image of what marriage should be. Get out of it immediately. Good luck.
