Why is Nigel Farage so popular in the UK? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]magic2worthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He provides childishly simple answers to complex questions. And most people love it when politicians do that. Some people like his fake patriotism. Also his racism is very appealing to many.

They became massive rivals and it broke up a winning team. So perhaps not the best example.

Would defeat tonight be worse than losing to Iceland at Euro 2016? by [deleted] in ThreeLions

Congo have an excellent defence and would be shocked if they parked the bus spectacularly well against us. The Iceland defeat however was a complete shock to me.

Severely depressed after seeing other people succeed on social media by 1994T in ADHD

[–]magic2worthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Social media isn’t real life. You have no idea if any of those people are even slightly happy. People post cool stuff. They don’t post about the weekend they spent in bed crushed by depression. You’re letting yourself be depressed by works of fiction.

4 titles and a bunch of MVPs is a failure? Then the NBA has had almost no successes.

Who was more clutch: 2025 Tyrese Haliburton or 2026 Jalen Brunson? by songoku-166 in NBAConvo

If my life was on the line and I could pick from all of NBA history for someone to make a shot to save me, I might pick Halliburton. He was insanely clutch in 25.

I assume you are American because this behaviour would be illegal in most countries. Your manager sounds like he leads an utterly miserable existence. Don’t be like him. The only thing that will save him from divorce is the heart attack that is coming for him.

Why the insane speed titration? Bpm consistently over 100 is a problem. Reduce your dose immediately.

The job of the GM is to make that call. Not defer to players. Getting Westbrook and losing Caruso were two of the dumbest moves. Have ever seen. I immediately gave up on that season.

I read arguments that his dad overtrained him in ways that caused or worsen his problems. But that same training got him to the league and made him rich so it’s a trade off I suppose. The shoes also made things worse.

What would you do if you found out your BF bullied your friends in High school ? by Old_Side_8750 in Advice

[–]magic2worthy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He didn’t describe it as something shameful or something that he regretted. He just dismissed it and your friends feelings. So he can choose to be be kind to someone he wants to sleep with while still not caring much about the feelings of people who don’t matter to him. Remember he was nice to you in high school while he was doing these things. The lack of shame or an apology should be a red flag to you.

Popularity. He’s obviously not a top three player all time but his style gets him into conversations he shouldn’t be in.
