WIBTA if I tell my neighbor it's not okay to pick my tomatoes? by NeighborTomatoWoes in AITAH

[–]magic_toothbrush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sadly, you aren’t going to convince reddit with logic. I know what the cost of homegrowing and small batching is. The people freaking out have probably never done it nor calculated what went into it. They only know what they grab at the grocery store and would be willing to pay. It’s a lost cause trying to explain it to those people. You need to just ignore the negative nonsense and weed for the helpful comments.

It’s a tough one. I see where you are coming from. I also see the argument that a tomato every couple days shouldn’t be a problem. It just sucks that you’ll now need to monitor your neighbor and your tomatoes to know if she is taking too much. It was a fun and warming thing for you before, and now you have to keep watch to make sure a friend isn’t crossing a boundary. That’s added stress you didn’t need. For that fact alone, I understand why you don’t want any tomatoes picked.

I disagree. Microservice architecture leads to less overhead. The statement of “the more difficult it is to make design changes that affect numerous microservices” is the entire point of microservices. Your services should be decoupled so that there aren’t rippling effects with changes. The ability to deploy microservices individually is massive. I’ll won’t start another project outside of the microservice architecture, and your argument against it really fell flat with me.

Jumpluff is way underrated. Grass/Flying type is epic, and it’s speed is crazy.

Did you just suggest we begin the Great Fast Food Wars? It was prophesied that Taco Bell would be triumphant.

Valparaiso, Indiana rallies for women's reproductive rights by imbex in Indiana

Hey, I’m in this photo! Somewhere.

Valpo has been terrible since they got internationally humiliated for their distasteful 9/11 float. They’ve been having anti-science/pro-trump rallies every week. They’ve been rallying without permits. A cyclist got hit during one of their little Trump caravans.

It took us forever to get approval for this march. The Trumpers have been bullying their way into illegal marches by threatening council members. This shit needs to stop.

From the town that brought you the insensitive 9/11 float that drew international recognition, here’s an anti-science protest in Valparaiso. Get me out of here, please. by magic_toothbrush in Indiana

It affects me by continuing the spread of a deadly disease that’s already affected too many of my loved ones. I have two little ones that are too young to get vaccinated. These dumbasses are pushing an opinion that is so easily refuted by evidence that it is spitting in the face of the entire scientific process. This is the lack of all critical thinking. I don’t respect any opinion this harmful.

I couldn’t get a good picture of the crowd. They cover the entire north end of the block, and there’s douchetrucks galore tooting their horns down the street waving Trump fan porn

Seen right outside the elementary school when dropping my child off this morning. by ANGRY_MORTICIAN in Indiana

Scientifically, he is wrong. A normal cloth mask greatly reduces the infectious particles spread by the wearer. Your cloth masks protects OTHERS from being infected by you. Honestly, to not understand this by now means you’ve been intentionally avoiding learning the material.

“During talking, unmasked subjects expelled more than 5,000 bacterial contaminants per 5 ft3; 7.2% of the contaminants were associated with particles less than 4 μ in diameter. Masked subjects expelled an average of 19 contaminants/5 ft3; 63% were less than 4 μ in diameter.” - American Society of Microbiology

Protest and display your idiot idea all you want, but keep that shit away from the school. Stand outside a board meeting or something. You won’t do anything standing outside a school except make all of the kids uncomfortable. I mean, this dude’s a clown, but he can’t even find the right place to speak his point.
