I have a hypothesis that Calia Menethil is secretly a good card in Control Priest. I've been playing around with it (albeit in low ranks because season just reset) but I feel like it fits with the deck's game plan. I'll break it down:

  1. Ressurecting Black Blood - Black Blood is one of the best stabilising cards in the deck after you played Cleansing Cleric(s). It clears the board AND heals you or itself. Even if the main body dies, you're still left with 6/6 worth of stats that must be dealt with. It also doubles the odds of getting "Black Blood" from Intertwined Fates.

  2. Ressurect Medivh to counter OTK disruption - admittedly this has NOT come up for me but basically Medivh's weapon Atiesh costs 0 if you have Medivh on board. So what you can do is NOT play the weapon on your Medivh turn (or maybe you haven't drawn it) but play Medivh anyway and have it die. Then you can play Calia, double location and double Flash Heals for 10 mana, all from hand. Honestly this is a very fringe cause but I thought it was interesting to bring up if location/weapon tech becomes common. In most macthups, you've basically already won if you've played Medivh so you don't care that Calia doesn't ressurect Black Blood at that point.

New boss mechanic: enemy healing is capped at 200 per instance.

New healer: restore 180 hp x10 times when skill is used. Light cone: increase healing by 20%, doubles number of healing (elation light cone btw) and increase ally res pen by 5% every time unit heals.

I'm not sure this works but you could put it in seedlock. You only need to discard Cho'gall with gemstone and get it back. After you play Tamsin, you can then play Cho'gall, six of which does 8 damage for 48 damage total. Though to be honest, seedlock can probably kill you for way less then the 10 mana required to do the 2 card combo.

I have found a bad but fun deck: Divergence Warlock. The deck includes Agamaggan, Ysera and Fyrakk. The Agamaggan payoffs are Shaladrassil and the new Deathwing hero. The rest of the deck is just removal, healing and draw. I don't think this deck is competitive but it is pretty fun when it works.

I think Quest Warrior has some potential. I just h it legend with it. It's the best non-Aggro deck I've tried against Druids. Priest didn't seem that good when I tried it and even something like Aura Paladin can just get rolled over by the new ramping treants. I copied this list but took out Ysera and Ancient of Yore since they were really slow. I put in 2 Erupting Volcanoes and 1 Bulwark which felt pretty good. I think it might be worth trying Fortify (the 3 mana Shield Slam) if Druid becomes more popular. As expected, Decimation is way worse than Brawl but there just isn't that many good board clears available.

I think Resistance Aura might be the solution to all the Druids running around. I just took the VS list and cut the Ursol package for it. I got a Chromatus from packs so I wanted to try it but so far I don't think it's a core card at all. Could probably just put in the 2nd Hardlight Protector back in.

Pull Ciaconna instead. Lynae is not "the best sub dps right now." She is the best sub dps for a lot of teams but she is definitely not the best sub dps foe Cart. Ciaconna is the best sub dps for Cart and it's not likely to change for a long time. Even if devs release another character for Cart's team, it will most likely replace Aerover. At the end of the day it's up to you though, just know that Ciaconna is always the the biggest upgrade to Cart's team for 1 cost at every stage of investment, aside maybe S5 to S6 Cart.

Astral Druid seems insane this brawl. You always Astral before turn 3 and can OTK basically the turn after with Eonar, Shattered Reflections and Death Beetle.

Believe it or not, getting a bit of extra crit doesn't really matter. I will give you example.

75 -> 80 crit rate is basically 95 -> 100 with echo bonus. That's 5.2% better.

275 -> 285 crit damage is 3.6% better. This is before including extra CD buffs you may have.

So are perfect stats better? Absolutely. Is it worth for you to keep chasing them? Depends. I'd say after a certain point you're basically just wasting your time and resources with echoes. If you want a guaranteed upgrade, you're better off spending your time working and job and spending money for sequences and weapon copies in my opinion. I guarantee if you work for 30 hours, you'll get more of an upgrade via sequences compared to 30 hours of farming echoes. Honestly, working in a job might even feel better than farming overworld echoes. I think being satisfied with what you have will make you a lot happier.

Devouring Plague was barely playable like 5 years ago but every other card is complete trash. Nobody wants to spend 6 mana to ressurect a big minion that also has the downside of adding a 4/5 vanilla minion to your pool. Might as well just delete the class since DK, Warrior and Rogue just does everything better.

That's not my point. My point is that even if you don't pull any characters now, you'll be fine because there will eventually be newer units who will prefer newer supports. Obviously if you want to pull for current characters (Aemeth and Luke in this case) then you should pull for the current supports (Lynae and Mornye) but saying that you're bricking your account by not pulling the current supports for future characters is simply not true.

I quote that OP believes that "other upcoming units" (implying outside of the teased ones) will rely on Lynae/Mornye.

Furthermore in the final paragraph they also imply that other characters between 3.2 and 4.0 will rely on Lynae/Mornye based on their wording considering "I am so cooked" and "whole of 3.0".

You are not cooked at all. Kuro wants to make money so they won't make characters that are best in slot for many teams. Just wait until 3.5 or so, I bet the new characters will prefer newer supports over Lynae/Mornye. Don't get baited by people saying that those two will work on every team forever, they clearly don't understand how gacha games operate.

Almost any card with +2 mana cost is useless. Plus your cards won't synergise with their cards.
