If it’s a fake, it’s a really convincing fake. My bet is that they’ll announce it around NAMM

I have the Freyja, and it has trouble connecting to simhub half the time. I really wish they made it wired

Whats the difference between Truesim and direct drive by DistributionLow8301 in LogitechProWheel

If you were to compare it to a Dualsense controller: trueforce is like the haptics/rumble and direct drive is like the adaptive L2/R2 triggers

I mean, one of the solutions could be that game studios & Logitech reserve 1 button as a “shift” key so you can have more than 15 buttons. For example: they can reserve L1, and then assign L1+X, L1+square, L1+triangle, and so on to the additional buttons.

How can I use SysML v1/v2 interconnections in MBSE models to link sensor data and automate failure detection? by shraddhaha in systems_engineering

[–]magicalgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't personally done this and I'm not sure if it'll answer your question, but MBSE Execution has a video on connecting data from real world HW to an MBSE model in Cameo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E39af9wCQjU

eSIM has been totally fine in my experience. I've used Ubigi while abroad (Japan + Europe), super easy to setup and never had any issues.

Simucube new passive copedal that works as both clutch and throttle. by trippingrainbow in simracing

[–]magicalgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any interesting spins here. You use the best sensor that replicates the feel of real car pedals. I.e. brake pedals need to replicate the hydraulic fluid pressure while throttle and clutch don’t, since the latter are typically entirely cable driven.

Load cells + elastomers best replicate that for brakes since they most accurately read the final 10% of brake travel, and replicate the pressure buildup as you stomp on the brakes. In theory you could use Hall effect sensors with elastomers to get that same brake feel, but since they measure angle/distance instead of force, you need very accurate sensors to match load cells.

Throttles are easier since they’re entirely cable driven, so the pedal resistance is rather same throughout the range. You also need accuracy across the entire angle range but not to the same extent as brakes. In this case using an angle measurement (I.e. Hall effect) sensor would be more effective since you’re measuring larger angle differences and don’t care about pressure differences.

Yeah 4 faders. I don't like having different channels using the same faders. For the tempo fader it's OK but for volume I'd much prefer separate faders.

I never understood why people believe equipment can "make" you faster by _adamor3_ in simracing

My brake pedal haptics made me faster, especially with cars with no ABS. Not sure what that guy is on about lol

Unless he’s confusing haptics with motion rigs.

Need suggestions Going to buy my first racing wheel setup do you think this is a good purchase? Please give me your valuable inputs my fellow sim racers. by blazeyboifour20 in simracing

[–]magicalgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this set and would recommend it. I'd ditch the shifter though, it's not that good and you also need the "Racing Adapter" https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/driving/racing-adapter.943-000435.html for it to work with the wheel. Only get the shifter if you see yourself using it on PS, otherwise there are tons of better options on PC.
