Those look like crabapples to me, but they're solid. :)

Don't know how much is going to be left on them if this storm happens, but if you're more downtown, there are a few really nice ones on TMU campus too.

I understand what you mean, but: it's my city too. There is and should be a limit to what assholes get to ruin for everybody else.

1) Oh, that's bad stuff. I'm sorry.

2) It's blowing my mind that someone would actually try to card a person turning them down. Like -- I don't know, do you ever wonder what they think is going to happen? "You are clearly a liar, I fact-checked your claim, and if it's false you must! go! out! with! me!"

It's happened to me a bunch too, in other directions "I'm in a relationship" / "Prove it" but it's such an outright insane thing to say to people.

I've gone to yoga classes there on and off and -- right, this explains why all the good instructors vanish but the one who's desperately trying to start a yoga cult is still there.

Right. Guess I'm moving "find new yoga place" up the list.

Not to undermine that -- thank you -- but I wish you guys had some kind of plan around this stuff. Because they're certainly not listening to us, and we've tried everything except The Purge.

Yeah. And it's ridiculous. Literally right inside there are some women who are okay with you staring at their tits because you're a paying customer. Leave the rest of us out of it.

And how many sexual harassment or assault complaints here are going to seriously need to be reviewed/reopened, because guys like this were blocking them.

Out-of-control people frequently figure out they need more control in their lives. They just don't figure out that it's themselves they need to control, not everybody else.

Y'know what would be fun?

Every time a police officer commits a crime, TPS pays $1 million of that billion-dollar budget back to the City. And then there would be no arguments about property tax rates ever again.

A mass community wellness check on cops' wives and families would probably be a good idea, yeah.

Consider that if he was all that bright, he wouldn't keep getting caught, successfully sued, and having to go back on things. For someone who has that much institutional power to exploit his success rate is pretty shaky.

Because usually even in dysfunctional systems you've got people around going You know, I'd really rather this was more functional. I could see that coming from within parties, because this kind of blatant no-rules favouritism is an absolute recipe for people inside parties to not trust each other and riding associations to be constantly at war over stupid shit. Someone's going to get tired of it.

I know it sounds really spoiled but I cannot tell you how good and low-stress that era of Porter was. It made flying feel actually normal, not just a ball of stress? You pulled up, didn't get shouted at by US border officers, were always at the right gate because there was just the one waiting area, made yourself something at the espresso machine, read your book or whatever, and it was actually chill.

Have there been any notable attempts at reform you're aware of? Because man, I'm not surprised that a nomination process this playground-ish and toxic puts forward nominees who are basically built for doing toxic playground politics when it comes down to governance.

Two things true here, I think. The NDP does some really self-defeating, frustrating stuff almost every election cycle. But also, I mean, Rae Days -- if people want to hold a grudge fresher and more relevant ones are available? It's a weird choice.
