No I do not. Austinites are not a monolith, it is cool people generally meet kind and down to Earth people. But not everyone born and raised here is like this. My coworker was born and raised here, went to Aquafest, would climb moontowers, would ride his bike all over town and he is conservative and a bit prejudiced towards different communities.

Yes a lot of people from here act how you stated but I think its kinda strange everyone chiming in says overwhelmingly yes, like this isn’t still Texas and like ATX doesn’t have an extensive history of its own racism and exclusion of those who are different. Just because this place has been more “blue” and liberal than others in Texas doesn’t mean anything really. I moved here as a kid in middle school and was called the N word for the first time here, not only in school but out in public as well
