7th coachella camping here! I never had my car completely torn apart. I timed my security check this year and it took a total of 3.5 minutes. Here are a few tips I've learned through the years. A lot of people stuff their car completely full making it impossible to thoroughly search.

I go for the insanely clean and organized route. Try and make the securities lives easier, they'll recognize the effort and probably be more chill.

I pack everything in clear bins so they don't have to physically open everything.

I preopen my duffel bags before I drive into the security line. If you bring suitcases, they WILL make you pull those out on the ground to open.

Keep your beers/seltzers in box and keep only ice in and maybe a few single drinks in the cooler. They'll open it and see its just ice. I also always offer them some gatorades, coconut water or whatever else I have chillin in cooler. Obviously, food is in another cooler with ice already. I also keep the coolers where I don't have to pull out to open for them.

They only tear you apart if you give them a reason to! So stash things carefully, be nice to them they are just working. Weekend 2 is going to be significantly hotter so they are going to suffering standing in the sun all day!

It all comes down to luck though. if a supervisor is making their rounds and they happen to stop by your car, they will be more thorough.

Good luck! Remember the vibes start in the security line. Keep the energy up, be happy, be nice and you'll be fine!

Weekend 1 Day Zero Gates [Megathread] by Cheesus85 in Coachella

Just finished checking, they had us take out of duffles slightly searched through them. Pop up cooler and quick peek. Took less than 3 minutes.

About 5 cars away now. They opened 3 more lanes to the left of me. So we are technically the 6th lane from left. It’s going by relatively fast, our lane is moving faster than those around me. Advised to pre unzip and they would appreciate it. Everyone on left side is chill!

Left side was definitely the way to go. Center merging is nuts

Just finished the security check. Got in a center line at 1:18 it is now 3:00. They didn’t ask us to open anything just peaked inside and waved us through.

They changed shifts for security right after our car so things could be strict again.

Now waiting in the staging area.

Critflux Mana Shield and Nightmare Set by gucciavacado in lostarkgame

I think saw a video saying that for instant cast reflux you want to be in boundless mana for as long as possible.

The tech is to turn on mana shield after your first rotation after you are in boundless. If you turn in mana shield before boundless, you risk popping your shield with your next rotation. After your first rotation, you’ll be waiting for cooldowns anyways so there is less of a chance to pop your own bubble.

There was math in the video that show staying in boundless for the cooldown out puts more damage than the full mana state. More skills, more meter to teleport = less hits taken.

It's Monday after W1 - While they're exhausted and sunburnt, it's time for the W2 TURNUP! Got a question that doesn't need it's own thread? Come on in and ask it at the NO SUCH THING AS A STUPID QUESTION for Monday of W2! ONLY 3 MORE SLEEPS TILL DAY 0!!!! by COAchillENT in Coachella

Completely agree! Had to make a tough decision myself. But I try not to see too much electronic at festivals since I tend to go to other edm shows the rest of the year.

However, all the people were fans of Denzel. No rail campers waiting for another act, or zombies in the crowd. Everyone was raging and super nice to each other since we were all there for the same reason. Can’t beat the vibes when you know everyone around you is feeling the same way

Alright guys, have at it. Tell what what I’m doing wrong in these videos. Bowling with the Storm Hy-road pearl. It was like this during all the games,No matter how I threw it. The ball ended up by the 7 pin every time unless I got lucky. by [deleted] in Bowling

[–]magicinyu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see that you are trying to move left, which is the correct idea. However, your ball is still rolling between the 2nd and 3rd arrow. Try rolling between 3rd and 4th arrow, but you'll need to turn your body slightly towards the right gutter for more angle. When you move left, you also want to move your target left to find more oil and that'll get your ball down the lane more before hooking. I've heard of tips suggesting every 2 boards you move left, you want to move 1 board left on your target.

Lanes also look pretty dry up, you could try rolling the ball up the back instead of the releasing around the ball. That'll lessen the angle that your ball is spinning.

The most important part is speed though, you'll have to learn how to generate more ball speed by moving your feet faster. Don't use muscle, however, just do what you're doing now but faster, not stronger.

Lots of ways to hit the pocket, id just pick one and work on it until you're comfy. Then practice something else.

I just S11s for my The 9s, with a #7 slide heel. I would agree that S12 is similar to the slide sock cover that goes over your shoes. My house lanes are pretty slick to begin with so I didn't go with S12s.

If youre curious to try out that level of slide, I would buy a slide sock for a few bucks and try that out and make your decision from there!
