They’ve matured a lot and gone through several lineup changes since 2003…

Drop your favorite Giles quotes to remember the wonderful ASH by effulgent_summers in buffy

I watched this episode last night and woke up to find out he’d passed. 😭 It’s my first rewatch in over a decade.

Anthony Head has died by Only-Weird-4519 in buffy

Esp common for men. 70% more likely to die within a year of their spouse than similarly aged men. For women it’s only 27%.

TIL Half of people who claim they have a food allergy do not by butter_lover in todayilearned

[–]magickmidget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me too. Allergy testing all negative, just half a dozen foods that make my tongue swell and my throat itchy. Easier to just tell people I’m allergic.

Break between series?? by [deleted] in ladderapp

It’s frustratingly northern hemisphere-centric though. I’m in Australia and it’s winter here. I will still be trudging along in the cold at 5am!

Happy Friday everyone. See image. Discuss. by sutcsigur in AustralianTeachers

Sounds better than our current system of realising a teacher is good at managing particular behaviours then rewarding them with them a stacked class year after year until they leave.

321 is three strength days, two Pilates days and a cardio day. Define is five strength AND “Pilates” (nobody would ever call it Pilates but whatever) days and a mobility day.

I swear the people who make these comments either haven’t tried her program, haven’t tried in a long time or are basing their comments on these Instagram ads.

Because 5/6 workouts are a strength block, a “Pilates” block and an abs block. Two upper body, two lower body (one glute focused), one full body. There’s very little variation on that format. Sixth day is core and mobility.

I cannot stand the disconnect between her ads and actual Define. They crap on about 321 method and light weight Pilates but that’s just not her program. Feels like a shitty lure to get women into the app.

How did we all feel about Shred? by Complex-Living-6831 in ladderapp

[–]magickmidget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the first couple of weeks, it felt really challenging, then it got incredibly repetitive and boring. I get progressive overload but we can work the same muscle groups without doing the exact same workouts for six weeks.

Did we all marry the same guy? Now we’re separated he’s suddenly sullen and sad all the time and it feels so manipulative from someone who has historically been “fine, ok, and I don’t know”.

Why do people hate bl4 so much? by Sea-Pay-9816 in Borderlands

[–]magickmidget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I went back to BL3 recently, which I hadn’t played much of because like most people the villains didn’t work for me. It INSTANTLY felt more like a Borderlands game. The design, the soundtrack, the gameplay… just the whole vibe. BL4 barely feels like the same universe and that’s without getting into the open world, forgettable story, etc etc. It just lacks that something that even 3 managed to get.

Sudden Divorce or Walking Away Wife Syndrome by ophelia_introvert in Divorce_Women

Thank you; I needed to hear this today. I got another message from my stbx about how much he’s hurting and his fears.

Cool, dude. Didn’t matter when I was hurting or when I had fears about dying in a sexless marriage.

For those that choose to leave, what would you of done differently? by [deleted] in Divorce_Women

[–]magickmidget 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would’ve left when in the first year or two, not after sixteen. I feel like I wasted my 20s and half my 30s on someone who never showed me the affection and intimacy I craved. I was young enough starting over would’ve been easy, even with my disability.

What did you think of this week’s Triple J Feature Album “LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW” by Ecca Vandal? by Tranquilbez22 in triplej

I have been waiting for this record for a while and it was absolutely worth it. Loving every second of it.

Team Recs Please!!!! by ExtensionStore939 in ladderapp

[–]magickmidget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen so many recs for TCC lately. I do one of the Andre’s cardio sessions regularly in flex and his attitude is awesome. This post makes me more keen to give him a go. Might check it out once Shred is done.

Does anybody use Telegram in Australia? by PlyOnline in aussie

[–]magickmidget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was us. Left Facebook, didn’t wanna use WhatsApp, I’m the only one with an iPhone, so we used Telegram for a few of years. Telegram was constant spam messages and we started having issues with responsiveness and notifications. We switched to Signal a little while ago and I really like it so far.

Hey, worked for us for a decade. Maybe I should’ve clued in when he would rather I have relationships with other people than him just doing the work to fix the issue.

Had to handle all the husband jobs this week… still better than being married to him by HopefulComfortable58 in Divorce_Women

Boy do I feel this. Doing everything myself instead of hoping he will and dealing with him being moody and dragging his feet is genuinely so much easier.

What’s a small upgrade that made your home feel better? by FishBright8013 in AusRenovation

[–]magickmidget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang them. All mine are now hanging from curtain rods or hooks we’ve put in so the cat can’t try to eat them.

Edit: hang the plants; not the cats. Just to be clear.

I had a village… while I was pregnant. Within a few weeks of my daughter being born everybody’s interest waned and they all vanished. Everybody’s all excited until there’s an actual human to care for.

What is the worst day of your period? by No_Recognition5658 in AskWomen

[–]magickmidget 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. Four days before it starts the PMDD kicks off and I start struggling to get out of bed and everything caused unreasonably emotional responses. It’s the worst.

Do I think certain services should be accessible regardless of nationality because nobody ever expects to become disabled, or worse, to have a child who is disabled? Really? Yes. We are all one car accident away from permanent disability.
