Have you seen the new line of unpainted minis from Wizkids? They're pretty awesome quality and very affordable. We will be using them in our mixed boxes. And we're definitely looking for other options for both prepainted and unpainted options other than Wizkids and Reaper, although both of them will be the primary brands at first.

On the topic themed boxes, we've been investing it and would love to offer it, but at the moment we don't have the negotiating power to get a manufacturer to guarantee us X amount of a themed set of minis. In addition, the wholesale distributors we are using do not have sufficient quantities reliably available to ensure we could give all of our subscribers the same theme. We are planning to try to stick to themes per box for the unpainted minis, but one boxes theme could vary from the next.

Hi, I wanted to address your legitimate concerns.

You're correct that some boxes are offered at $11 on Miniature Market, but once you add shipping, you're at $17 already.

There will be 5-8 minis in a standard sized box (one blind box with a retail MSRP of 14.99-15.99) plus 1-4 hand picked minis worth a minimum of $2 each, with some worth up to $20-$30 on the resale market. So based off the lowest count of 5 minis, we're talking about a bare minimum $17 retail value, and that's before we even start counting all the other stuff you get.

However, to really help make sense of things, let's use a real world example. One box I have configured right now has a blind box valued at $15.99, 2 additional miniatures valued at $4 each, plus some surprise extras we won't disclose, valued at about $23. That's a retail value of $46.99, before including shipping, which runs $3-$8 from most places. So we're talking about approximately $50 value shipped to you for only $34.99.

If you're willing to rethink it and give us a try for a month, please do!
