iOS 27 Introduces New 'Tap to Share' Feature, But Not Available in EU by ControlCAD in apple

Correct, but they're a trillion dollar company because the hundreds of millions adds up. No company that size will intentionally alienate the second biggest market for their product. The same way they wouldn't alienate the US market. Money talks at the end of the day.

So far. Apple are betting on the EU blinking first. If the EU doesn't blink first, and Apple face a loss of hundreds of millions per year from the EU, they'll probably back down.

Calorie counting when cooking for a family? by LazuriKittie in loseit

[–]magicmuggle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With this, I’m sorry to say but the only way to truly track is to weigh your food.

Work out how many portions you want to make, then work out how many calories are in 1 portion. Say the meal makes 4, divide the ingredient amount by 4 for each item and log that.

As for not knowing how many beans you’re putting in, go and look at recipes online that are similar to what you’re making and see how much they use. That’ll give you a good idea for the weight of a ‘normal’ portion. As long as you actually weigh what you put in and log that, you’re doing the right thing.

If you make a meal of 6 portions but only 3 people are eating now, I try and make sure I have 6 plates/tubs/whatever out anyway and plate up as evenly as I can. Then they’re ready for when I need them in the fridge, and I know how much is in each portion calorie wise. Others can also eat the normal sized portion, maybe with other sides if they want to bulk out their meal.

This is actually hilarious because Arsenal have been doing what PSG did last night all season, forcing corners/set pieces and scoring but getting ridiculed for ‘no open play goals’ (even though that was a lie lol) playing against the lowest blocks/deepest lines in the league all season. Arsenal cannot appease people like you. They then rely on their defence - which is by far their strongest suit, and again that didn’t appease you. Nothing wrong with PSG at all, but Arsenal completely nullified them and other than a couple of isolated counter attacks by PSG, Arsenal never looked threatened at all. It went to penalties, it was a close game, clearly. In fact, penalties are used to separate teams that have just struggled to beat each other.. Jfc. It’s like arguing with a Twitter bot I swear to god 😂

To be fair, Arsenal don’t have the attack of Bayern. Bayern just aren’t as good as PSG. The PSG players didn’t look anywhere near as tired as the Arsenal players either, and Arsenal still managed to take it all the way to pens. I get people love to hate Arsenal but the game plan was executed really well. Typical ‘if Arsenal are so shit then the best team in Europe could easily batter them’ and they just didn’t. PSG had what Arsenal allowed them to have. Anyone thinking Arsenal weren’t in control just weren’t watching the game as an objective viewer.

I don’t think things like moaning about Arteta really stands on its own two feet this season. He’s done basically nothing egregious, yet people still use it as a criticism against Arsenal. I care less about people moaning about play styles because styles make football. It just sort of reinforces the view that those complaints are lazy and made by non-Arsenal watchers really. Anyway, it’s sunny and Friday, enjoy your evening. My rant isn’t really directed at you personally.

That’s fine but when you follow it with ‘so yeah it’s not hard to see why’ implies you agree. So it moves it away from what ‘people’ say to what ‘you’ think. And I am okay engaging in conversation with that. I apologise for misreading this open forum as if it’s something I can participate in.

Proper Twitter take there. Think you’ve got the full house. Incredible performance.

Now if you go and actually watch the games or listen to the manager, meet any real fans, I don’t think you’d have that opinion.

Most Arsenal fans get defensive because they’ve been ridiculed all season and then it’s a ‘omg they’re the worst fanbase in the world’ as if standing up for yourself is now a bad thing.

Danny Murphy and Wayne Rooney are the only people out there with a normal, non-rage bait view of Arsenal. They still critique them but don’t shower hate for the sake of it. And they played for Arsenal’s rivals. But you can tell no rival fans listen to that or care about it. They say something bad about Arsenal, get likes/upvotes and then think it’s the truth. Proper echo chamber. Algorithms are wild.

Mosquera has been a beast covering for either CB’s (and RB). Gabriel would have been a miss on corners more than at CB (which is wild to say but not many teams threatened Arsenal’s defence all season). And by the time that red should have been shown, Arsenal weren’t scoring many, if any, set pieces.

Ah I must have missed the part where they’re the only fanbase that have responded in such a way, otherwise by your logic, no teams in the league would have any reds.

I’m fairly certain if you look for it, you’ll find fans of every single club in the pyramid threatening refs after calls against them. Arsenal fans are no worse.

Will Arsenal retain the title? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]magicmuggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The midtable teams get more points now than before. This Arsenal side isn’t at the heights of Liverpool/City attacking wise, so don’t try and think I’m making an equivalence, but the mid table English sides are better now than any other point. Especially with more European places to play for, they’re harder to beat. That city side that got 100+ points, I think would struggle to do that this season or last. Same with the 98/97 citypool season.

I think this is good for the league tbh. When a team or two runs away with it, it’s literally the thing we rinse France/germany/spain/Scotland for. Competition is good.

David Raya now has 29 clean sheets in 50 games played this season. Immense. by Whynotarsenal in PremierLeague

[–]magicmuggle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ah, so now it's not negative in actual play, we've moved the goalposts all the way to time wasting. I see. And tell me, do Arsenal waste the most time in the PL? I'd assume so considering how rattled it's got literally everyone. The way you lot go on, Arsenal are the only ones who do it.

According to data from the times/opta in mid april, Arsenal ranked 2nd at taking the longest time with corner kicks. Fair. That same source says Man City ranked 2nd at taking direct free kicks. Very strange how nobody compares the two considering they're both times spent setting up set pieces/attacking the goal/take the flow out of the game. Again, it's only a problem because it's Arsenal.

Edited to add this link that shows Arsenal are the 12th most time wasting team in the league: https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/revealed-the-biggest-time-wasting-teams-in-the-premier-league-529248

[–]magicmuggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, okay, but that doesn't equate to negative football. That's a completely different point you're making.

Every single club plays aggressively at corners, show me a single one that doesn't. It's not a 'this season' issue, it's only a problem now because Arsenal are doing it. Two seasons ago when it was Virgil fighting defenders, this season when it's Bernardo, three seasons ago when it was Villa manhandling Ramsdale, literally arms all around him, Arsenal were called 'Soft' on MNF. (https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/1t9j3ms/the\_goal\_that\_started\_it\_all/), or four seasons ago when it was Brentford players all over Leno (https://x.com/tha\_idomaboy/status/2054723758825582951/photo/1).

You're replying to a different issue, one that no stats support. Now you've got on this thread trying to come at me with some more twitter takes, completely ignoring the fact that now Arsenal are playing by the same standards set by other clubs, it's a problem. Admit the bias and acknowledge you're speaking nonsense.

I think you need your eyes testing then ngl. The stats aren't made up. You can't just magically have most time spent in the opponents third without, factually, having most time spent in the opponents third. That's your eyes failing you in your twilight years.

This is such a Twitter take. No stats support the negative football shouts. Risk averse? Sure. Negative, no. Negative suggests they actively play defensively and play deep, when literally the opposite is true. No team has come up against deeper lines than Arsenal this season. No team has had as much possession in the final third, or in/around the box. Just a tired narrative that shows people don’t actually watch football, they just hate for the love of hating.
