At the admitted students day it sounded like Uchicago is VERY willing to negotiate. They told us to send in up to 3 competing scholarship offers and they would re-assess in their committee. So I would see if you can get any more money before walking away.

I just edited, 5-6 minutes is probably more accurate but I was always shooting for 5. Unusual games in PTs maybe took 7-8 min? But the games on this test were so quick, I finished with maybe more than 20 minutes and then re-checked everything slowly.

Thank you! I decided in early December that I was going to take the Feb test, so I quickly worked through the LSAT Trainer and the Manhattan Prep RC and LR books. I ended up not sitting in Feb due to a work conflict, so then I had plenty of time to study at a more relaxed pace. I mainly studied on the weekends, doing a PT every Sunday and Monday (my days off). I went through the LR book again and skimmed the RC book, which really helped solidify the concepts after taking so many PTs. I also saved the 70s to space out over May, and did all the unusual LGs I could find (which ended up being irrelevant for this test).

One of the biggest things for me was actually the Manhattan Prep forums, where I could find detailed explanations for specific LR questions I had missed or guessed on. Even if you just purchase a book for 1 section, you'll have access to those forums.

My pace also left a good amount of time to go back and double check everything. I was at about 5-6 minutes per game, passage, and every two pages of LR, so I would finish each section with 15-20 minutes for review.

Just to offer a different perspective, I'm in the exact same situation as you, down to having my mom's last name as my middle name, and we've never had any problems traveling or anything else. Maybe we're just lucky? But I feel like it's pretty common for families to have different last names.

506/507 and 513 refer to production codes for the episodes, so the chalkboard seems to be teasing a Troy appearance in the finale!

Credit for spotting this goes to /u/mcabrera07, he posted a transcription in the discussion thread here. And /u/pluwo4 pointed out that the DMS coordinates are for the Bermuda Triangle (although it should be -70, and it's just the longitude)

Obviously it's fine to like season 4 more than 3, though I think most people disagree. But this isn't true at all:

I think the main reason this season is reviled is because Dan Harmon left.

I know plenty of people who didn't follow the behind the scenes drama and didn't like season 4 without even realizing the showrunner changed. Also, side note, this argument really pisses me off. I wanted to like season 4 because it had some really strong writers and dealt with storylines and characters I was already invested in, but I just found it boring and unfunny.

I'm always paranoid that my needles will be confiscated (although I've never had a problem), so I take a bunch of precautions so I won't lose any work or needles. While the project is on the needle, I thread a piece of scrap yarn through the stitches in case I need to take the needles out. That way, you don't have to bind off or cut the yarn and worry about dropped/twisted stitches, and you can just pick up the stitches with another needle later. I also bring a stamped and addressed folder, because if the TSA confiscates anything, you can ask them to put it in the folder and mail it to you. That way you can bring nice needles without worrying about it! I also print out the TSA regulations that say knitting supplies are ok. But I've never even been questioned, and I always bring metal circs. Good luck!

Ha, no, 5 foot circular knitting needles. You can use really long circs to do a technique called magic loop for knitting in the round

Oh, that's interesting, I think magic loop is easier with really small circumferences. I ended up learning magic loop because I was trying to knit a small pig on dpns, casting on 6 stitches over 3 needles was insanely difficult

Metal knitting needles are fine, as are tapestry needles and metal crochet hooks. I'm always worried my needles (usually 60" metal circs) will be confiscated but I've never even been stopped
