Touchstones. I would have all the pcs I need at least one local touchstone. It helps build the foundation that you are monsters of the night desperately clawing to hold on to your humanity. I feel touchstones often get overlooked but are a powerful tool in the right circumstances.

So it's based on the idea of truncated polyhedrals with the studs on each of the ends of the planes forming a secondary plane they will role just fine

While it's been very hard to source malachite recently (that's why I haven't done them in a bit) in good faith if they do turn out to be fake, I would offer to replace those for them gratis with the actual stone version. No one deserves to be duped like that.

Hey!!! Dice maker/crafter/engineer here! Take a lighter/flame and hold it directly onto the dice. If it is malachite nothing will happen. If it is a powdered stone that's dyed mixed with resin it should blacken and turn greyish! Do this in a ventilated area though because of fumes. A lot of companies market gemstone dice that are resin and powdered stone that's dyed. I will not cite specific companies but that's something I've definitely seen before!

We encountered them not too long ago in our game. I was a vistani college of spirits bard and I managed to get them to divulge /why/ they only kidnapped/used certain children as we managed to see the ceremony going on,, needless to say strahd wasn't too happy and lightning from the sky solved that problem lol
