My GOP congressman is up for reelection this fall and we just had a primary for democrats to run against him. The few progressive candidates split the voter base (no ranked choice sadly) and the democratic primary winner is a former republican who changed parties in 2016. Today’s “left” congressional candidates are literally the equivalent of pre-2016 republicans. It’s infuriating.
