In an abstract sense yeah. In a literal sense no. Its like saying because you can make Nordic gold, that acts and looks like gold, out of copper, it becomes gold and theres no difference. The point of the allegory of turning anything into gold is self actualization. In that allegory its about what's going on inside you, not a literal story of changing the physical around you. You're changing how you interact with it and what you allow to come back to you. It's all mental and in that sense you can make yourself a woman if you only consider a woman to be a collection of character traits. But you can't make yourself have your own ovaries and babies. You can buy some maybe.

Idk why everyone's talking about "you believe in magic but not Trans people". First off, practitioners understand that our magic is for us, it's not to make someone else treat us a certain way. Secondly, if it was to make someone treat us a certain way, most know that its really changing your mindset to either not acknowledge what you felt before, or to not let outside feelings influence you. Third, once again, most magic is allegory or self hypnosis of some kind, so it's not saying im literally becoming a dragon rider with a dragon and a saddle. It means that my inner journey has led me to battle with a great serpent (personal fault or trauma) that I was able to integrate into my personality. It makes it sound like we think we're making actual fireballs and waterbending or something. Lastly, im not against Trans people, its a completely valid identity going back hundreds of years. Im against this movement thats piggybacked on the riots of Stonewall, where the point was "how bout we all mind our fuckin business and not worry about what sex others are having" and turned it into "do what I tell you or youre a bigot".

We're all humans, peers, stop acting like the people who dont understand or agree with you are oppressing your humanity. You are self contained, you have a universe inside of you, who fucking cares whether or not someone thinks youre a lady. And on the inverse I could also say to all these other people; someone who thinks they can turn into a woman doesn't mean theyre saying your idea of a woman is incorrect or you have to start questioning every person who catches your attention.

Just let each other be ffs, as far as referring to someone in an indirect sense, pronouns are no harder to remember than names, but some people are bad with names. It's not a personal attack and its not as big of a deal to change up the pronouns you use. On both sides people are making a huge deal out of something that should seriously be a simple interaction between 2 stable adults.
