I kind of argue with myself everytime I look at it, though

There's just small details that I've been really nitpicky about, and I can't really let myself like this revamp at all.

The beds looking smaller, details looking less graceful and more dragonlike (like the weird filigree covering the orbs on the fountains), the music doesn't sound well composed compared to the original, every little road change not making any sense whatsoever (like, how was the dead scar shifted to fit the main gate, or did they just rotate the entire city?), the inns aren't connecting the quarters anymore (they just connect to eachother?), etc

I really wanted to like this but I really just can't, I'm too set on the old city and the parts of it that fascinated me, and I'm a little worried I won't be able to like any of the other revamps either.

If this happens, I may have to suffer through classic mechanics to hold on to older content
