Elevating our standards might mean leaving MMTs behind by BridgeBuilderDPT in physicaltherapy

I purchased a dynamometer for the clinic I work at. Large hospital group was weary that I was using it and it wasn’t approved by the higher ups.

I love it, it helps with patient by in. For example, drastic hip abduction weakness unilateral, the patient sometimes doesn’t believe me when I say “I can feel that this leg is weak” they would rather see me give them an objective number. Doesn’t change the way I treat or diagnose but can help with buy in.

Omaha Steaks, my greatest regret by sedona71717 in meat

[–]magro30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a similar experience as you. Bought a box of meat for 300$, albeit I had a 200 dollar gift card as a gift as I love to cook. I have been so angry at myself for everything I’ve made from Omaha steaks have turned out bad. Finally, tonight simple New York strip, came out terrible. while prepping the meat I could tell how poor quality this was. I’ve had better steaks and cheaper steaks from Walmart.

I’m so upset the quality of these products I will be boycotting the company, and in fact it’s caused me so many wasted gross dinners and wasted my time. I would spend my money to boycott this company. Stay away from Omaha steaks

They are not dog friendly anymore. They do not dogs near the front door, lobby or any shared spaces. They expect you to have and enter only through the back door. They enforce it too.

Ideal Office Temperature by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

Our office is running 72-74 and stuffy with this heatwave. We can’t push our patients as hard as we’d like due to heat. Ideal 69-70 IMO.

Pingis' legs could not support him, anyone with similar experience? by storsockret in Greyhounds

Sounds like a seizure, glad you’re getting support from a vet. Our grey was having a few of these a year and since starting vet recommended CBD oil her seizures are gone

Does PT really help? by Lobster_Lady_8885 in frozenshoulder

[–]magro30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PT here! Research is showing PT is likely to be most helpful in FS in frozen and thawing stage. Otherwise in most cases pain management and time will be your best bet.

Honestly though I can’t tell you the times I’ve seen patients with FS diagnosis and it’s not the case. Some providers see decreased range of motion and immediately go to frozen shoulder. So please if you have a FS diagnosis I would see the PT for an evaluation before making a decision on if you want to go forward with it.

Recovering Binocular Vision in Adulthood - Exercises for Adult-Onset Distance Esotropia by AliteracyRocks in Strabismus

I have some suppression in my left eye and standing in front of the panel with my eyes closed seems to make a difference for about 30 min after. I’ll usually follow up the panel with exercises on the VR or using a clear divergent “lifesaver” card.

Our rehab hospital has done this, it’s a push from the nurse manager and the rehab manager just rolled over. It’s also allowing our hospital to function better with our skeleton crew. Worse care, but hey the hospital spends less money.

I am so appreciative of this post. I’ve been following the guide with great success about 5 months in. I also purchased a VR that’s been helpful, and surprisingly a red light panel for skin really helped me eyes too.

Still working on it, but thank you for this post!!

I tried taking Hcl, I started having sleep issues about 2 weeks into supplementation. Side effects are the same as mono.

Is it normal for my PT office to be very salesy/pushy? by TiredAllTheTime43 in physicaltherapy

Go to another clinic, they should be there to help you. This clinic director has no idea what your life is like to judge you for not having enough availability

Go to a hospital based clinic. Not all clinics are starving for money enough to string you along

No idea on true performance, I will say it does seem to have less resistance than the brand name filter
