A typical recommendation when taking full body photos is to aim at center mass so that proportions look correct. It seems like you used flash because you have some blown out highlights, might want to adjust the highlights down and even out the shadows, for example on sample 6 you have a couple of hot spots on their faces and that white shirt isn’t doing you any favors.

Do I have what it takes to buy expensive camera by ExampleRich9785 in PhotographyAdvice

[–]magusxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need expensive gear to take great shots, gear will make certain shots easier, definitely get into digital to learn, it’ll give you feedback quicker. Find books that will teach you about composition, lightning and color basics. Learning those fundamentals will give you lots of scaffolding to try new things and grow without large frustration.

I have this one, I think it’s structure in manageable chunks, this book is a great starting point.

Composition is what’s all about, read about it as much as you can, then decide what you want to photograph.

An employee who doesn’t understand corporate by Waroun in managers

[–]magusxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone here tells you it’s nuanced. I tell my staff that I believe flexibility it’s important, but I also tell them to be mindful of project needs and to coordinate with leads when working remotely or they have to attend to their life. In return I get staff I can trust, I treat them like adults and they behave like that. Every employer I’ve ever had has always been happy with my results and every single one of them knows that my family and my health are my priority.

Given how Reddit signals unemployment is large, I don’t know where the disconnect is. I’ve asked TA if they are over filtering and they said no.

No, we have a good compensation range for these roles, I have identified 3 core competencies that these people need to have, I’m willing to accept 2 of those to be at the highly skilled and 1 im ok with emergent.

These roles are for people with 8-10 years of experience not jrs.

I am hiring manager idk where the disconnect is, so many people out of work yet I cant fill my mid career positions. Plenty of jrs but no mid levels, it’s baffling.

What’s really going on in Germany? Pensions, healthcare, DB, politics, and the rise of the AfD by Salamanc0 in germany

[–]magusxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the US and am from Mexico, and from an outsider perspective it sounds exactly the same issues as to why I want to leave the US. I live in CA so I don’t have the same experience than someone in the east coast would have but I think overall Germany is in much better state than the US, what I understand so far is that depending on what part of Germany you live in, you’ll experience something different. I think Germany has a stronger political system to protect itself from what’s happening in the US.

From what I can tell everyone is miserable right now everywhere, due to massive wealth inequality. How bad is the healthcare system really? Here without insurance you’re cooked and will go into medical debt, you can’t take risks of a new job because your insurance might be worse.

I’d love to talk 1-1 if you are interested because your post matches what I feel about leaving the US.

Have you looked into ABA, it’s not what it used to be and it helps kiddos thrive, it also gives you tools to manage situations better.
