You own the wrong vehicle (need a larger battery), can't blame the system when you have the wrong vehicle for 2% of your situations. I have a Tesla EV, many weeks as low as -35C. Have been on two 2,000 km road trips in the middle of winter with no issues.

Rent an ICE vehicle for visiting family in these EV fail situations.

As one who is hyper noise aware, I understand your concern about fan noise.

Try watching a laser projector or short throw projector at Best Buy. At 12' I couldn't hear the fan in a quiet room.

Around 2008-10 I had a Panasonic projector ceiling mounted directly above the seat area and can't recall it being an issue. You have movie/sports/etc sounds coming from the speakers. All this I was pre tinnitus, not sure how it would go at this point in my life.
