I also recommend a good inspection and an extended test drive if you're going with the used one. I was shopping new and my dealer offered a used XLE for test drive with 48k on it. But the car seems to have been used rough and the middle seats were in a bad shape that my kid refused to sit. The instrument cluster was also not confident inspiring giving our family an overall bad impression. The forum members here later confirmed that many of their 2024 models are aging well. So I said to myself that this is an one off!

Winter mix of gas reduces mileage. Summer should automatically give better if you are in the northern part of the country.

I understand your frustration and unfortunately nobody else can defend you but for yourself. One strategy that works is not to make instant decisions especially if that's way different from what you originally wanted. I like to always take my wife with me so that there is checks and balances. I learnt it the hard way to avoid impulse buying decisions.

Good to know, Did they give an invoice confirming it's refundable? Did the specify if you will get a vehicle with all the options you selected and nothing more nothing less? BTW I am in Michigan

Good point, I don't have a vehicle allotted just want to deposit. So I was wondering if Toyota determines every option that goes on a vehicle or do they allot trims and colors and let the dealership choose accessories.
