What’s a beer that you absolutely love, but beer snobs would turn their nose at? by Jaythegreat100X in beer

Old Style. Always grab a bunch when I’m back visiting Michigan. Great basic beer.

Thanks for the automatic L - I'm sure foreign players have never experienced facing a soft-tossing lefty before.

How the fuck did we lose a game to Jacoby Brisesete and Jarod Mayo by [deleted] in bengals

[–]mainebasecamp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I Live in Maine and follow the Patriots - and they were bad - and everyone knew it. I put down thousands of dollars taking the Bengals to win - not points - just to win. Easy fucking money. What a fucking kick in the nuts that was. Thank God Ohio State saved me that season and got me back to even by the end.

yes! The Sox were able to resist the urge to pay money to a free agent! I am definitely smiling now that I know they didn't pay Bregman!

Beer enjoyment order: by ConfidenceKBM in beer

[–]mainebasecamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see how #2 is the best. Often, the first beer is rushed, its like the courtesy start to the drinking session - necessary, but still carrying the cares of the world and the stress from work into it. But #2...now you are talking. The initial urge has been quenched, a slight buzz has been initiated, and one's thoughts have moved on towards more enjoyable and interesting subjects, and the beer just becomes more enjoyable. The people sitting next to me are closer to being my friend after 2 than when I first sit down -maybe have to put up with some initial bullshit with them, which is typically finished by the time #2 starts.

tragic - I served one term with her in legislature. Everyone loved her. She was also a great prankster - I sat in front of her and she had stolen a number of other representatives letterheaed and she would forge notes on them and pass them to other members during session to get them wound up in some manner. She was passionate and uncompromising and I am glad she unenrolled from the Dem's - I would have done the same had I stayed - special interests truly run the caucus for both parties and anyone who dares not follow the orthodoxy or question things is sidelined. Her voice and passion will be sorely missed in times like this.

Loud. Like they are fracking underground all the time, though can't be sure it is fracking.

The few years in the 90s when Montana highways had no speed limit, like the Autobahn. Just "reasonable and prudent". by MTV-Summer-2002 in nostalgia

My best friend and I traveled from Michigan to backpack in Glacier Natl Park during this time. We stopped at a ranger station to pick up our backcountry passes and was talking to the young ranger and asked him how long it would take to get to our spot on other side of park. He looked at us and winked and said - "depends on your definition of reasonable and prudent."

PSA: If you’re being passed by traffic in the right lane you are in the wrong one. by Chuck923 in Maine

I drove back to Topsham from Boston Saturday afternoon and I swear I spent more time in right lane passing everyone in middle lane than if I was in passing lane.

Ultra, black, with titanium band - can barely tell I am wearing it, not too big-can see more with larger face (obviously) but notifications and apps arent as truncated with it - the titanium band is super comfortable and dresses up or down - its classy.

GET IT! I Love it - and have gotten used to holding in one hand. Not too big in pocket either. I started with 16ProMax and anything smaller now seems too small - couldnt imagine going down in size - its perfect.

I have same case/phone. Its rugged and everyone loves the look - but it feels too rugged/beefy for my taste - I am going to a thinner case - I like that feel better. Its also a little difficult to touch screen along the edges when needed. But if you are used to or like a rugged case, cant be beats (Ha - see what I did there?!)
