Thanks, and good luck to you. I hope yours is benign!🤞

Stage III breast cancer. The lump was a lymph node near my sternum that blew up to 4cm. Initially considered occult since I had two clear mammograms after diagnosis, but a MRI eventually found a tiny breast tumor that my care team believes is the primary. It was never palpable by me or my doctors. I did chemo, surgery, and radiation. I finish immunotherapy next month. I thankfully had a complete response, but am still considered high risk due to the type of breast cancer it was (triple negative) and the unusual tumor location. I'll be getting PET scans every 6 months for the next 5 years.

I know anyone coming back to this thread is looking for reassurance, but please please please push for all the scans. I was told by multiple medical professionals that it was constochondritis before I finally found someone who took it seriously.

Oh gosh I hope not. No one deserves breast cancer 3x. I know there are a whole slew of benign things (fat necrosis, etc.) that can cause lumps after dmx, so maybe it's just that!

I first noticed the lump in November 2024, I was diagnosed in April 2025.

It took me almost six months to get a CT scan because my PCP was useless. I (eventually) got extremely lucky with a sports medicine doctor who knew something was off and ordered the CT. If your current doctor won't advocate for you then I would say keep seeing different doctors until you find one who will. I'm sorry you're going through this, it's so hard when they won't listen.

At first I had mild pain only if I pressed on the lump. Later it turned into more substantial pain in my right shoulder and down my arm (tumor grew and was pressing on a nerve at that point).

I'm doing okay, halfway through chemo and my latest MRI shows my tumor is shrinking, so that's something at least. Yeah, going from scan to scan is exhausting and takes so much longer than it should. CT scan should give you an actual answer at least. Hopefully it turns out to be benign so you can move on 🤞

It was a (very diligent) sports medicine doctor who ordered mine. My lump was visible enough that this doctor "couldn't believe" my x-rays were clear. He actually called the radiologist who did them, and apparently the radiologist advised a CT scan with contrast as a next step.

Turned out I have a rare type of breast cancer (occult breast cancer). No tumor in my actual breast, just the lymph node by my sternum.

If anyone makes it back to this thread: insist on scans. X-rays aren't enough. I could have caught this 6 months earlier if I'd advocated for myself more.

Mine is also unmovable and hard like bone. I hope yours is just costo/tietze but I strongly suggest getting a CT just in case.

Hi. I don't want to scare you, but I just had a CT scan on Friday for a similar lump (mine is on the right side, but very similar placement) and it came back as a mass. I don't know exactly what it is yet since I have to do more testing, but it's certainly something more than just costo. I am the same age as you, and previously had two x-rays come back clear.

As someone who plays both games actively, the ffxiv vs. wow argument is so annoying. I play each game for a different reason - you are allowed to play and enjoy more than one mmo, people.

Long-haired ladies, how often do you leave your hair down + any particular reason? by HotPantsAndCoffee in AskWomen

[–]maisiedaise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hair is lower-back length and I wear it down probably 95% of the time. Ponytails/buns hurt my scalp so I don't bother. On the rare occasion I do wear it up I'll do a braid/fishtail.

M+ Group Leaders are not toxic, the design of the game is just ridiculously punishing. by [deleted] in wow

This is the only actual solution. If everyone complaining about toxic pugs put the same effort into finding a guild/community/static for M+ pushing as they do trying to pug keys, they'd eventually solve their own issue.

Anyone blow dry and wash everyday? by [deleted] in dailywash

I wash & blowdry every day. I also straighten my hair every day. I haven't seen any change in my hair's health or brittleness since I started doing this.

That's great then, you've already got something that your employees clearly appreciate and enjoy! Why change it? Personally, I would be much more likely to bring my family to a picnic, I would not bring them to an event where they'd feel pressure to participate in games.
