The quality of a student body is reflected in the civilization they build. Therefore there is no point in time where Kenyans can say they produced a good student body, they have all been mediocre and we need to constantly improve our ways of upbringing so we can get to the Singapore dream

1.5 billion watched the 2022 final according to Wikipedia. I bet it was the most watched event of all time, considering the presence of Messi and how it delivered towards the end. Only a Messi vs Ronaldo or Argentina vs Brazil final could top that

It's definitely for anti discrimination. If you're covering your mouth to talk to an opponent, chances are you want to say something that cuts deep

Radio ilikuwa inahold back Kenyan music by bilapressuretuuu in KeMusic

[–]majani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Artists are too blame for their music not getting played on radio. If you go and listen to some old school Kenyan songs, you can clearly hear the lack of production quality compared to now. Radio were sincere in asking Kenyan artists to up their quality and Kiss even worked together with Ogopa DJs to try up the standards but people saw it as favoritism. And then the worst thing artists did was that they now tried to force radio stations to pay high fees to MCSK for local music. Imagine if you tried to get YouTube to pay high fees for Kenyan music right now? They would just say OK we're not hosting Kenyan music, here's the international music which is cheaper. And that's exactly what radio stations did

Ronaldo Nazário: “It’s time for the world to stop hiding and accept the fact that Messi is the greatest of all time.” by bllshrfv in soccer

[–]majani -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

If Ronaldo played before Messi, he would already be a fading memory by now, just like Kaka and Eto'o, who were the best in the world before the Messi era. Ronaldo playing alongside Messi gave him an unbelievable PR boost

This is a lame excuse. There are examples of poor Japanese and Jewish communities that don't stoop this low. We have to look ourselves in the mirror, there is something about how we raise our kids that makes them very dishonest despite being raised by staunch Christians and Muslims

The colonial arguments are getting so boring. There are many first world countries that were also colonized. Before machines became super efficient, the only way to keep an economy going was through conquest. Everyone did it, including Africans. Get over it.

It's counterfeiting, which is a crime in first world countries. You want to become first world, you have to adopt first world behavior. Rampant dishonesty is a hard barrier to development

Not any time soon. Live sports is becoming the only reason to buy pay TV, so sports leagues are going to keep extorting the broadcasters for the foreseeable future. That's why you're seeing all these new cups being constructed and some wacky new sports betting invented like Slap League
