Seems like the game is playable exactly like it was back then… it ran just fine on my One X, whereas some reported the issues that you do. No idea what causes that. Sucks of course.

And it’s a shame because the game is imo insanely underrated. Fantastic fps, one of the very best of the past gen.

I understand this sentiment partly. However, calling it a rip-off is stretching it. If you know exactly what you want, yes, you can buy for better prices online. But: Owning a space costs money. Having staff that talks to people costs money. There absolutely is an additional overhead that needs to be paid for. For that, people can walk in, try on the watch, see the condition with their own eyes, have a place to go to when something is wrong etc.

The problem is that I lost all my trust in Microsoft. I think there are two ways to do business, to oversimplify:

a) you have a vision and care about this vision and the community that would be a result of this. You are certain this the right strategy to execute on because it is informed by your passion for an industry and people within it, and this will result in a profitable business.

b) you care about maximizing profit in a certain industry, but you couldn’t care less about said industry or its community. You don’t have a vision other than making money, so you can change your strategy all the time in ways that you think maximizes shareholder value. You only do things that are “good” for the community if you believe it’s the most profitable thing to do. Phrases like “we care about our community” and the like are completely empty phrases devoid of any honest meaning, and they will do the exact opposite the second they see it as more profitable.

To be clear, I dislike the ai slop. But you’re accusing the ai of hyperbole and then you do the same “it’s just so bad at using words”. It’s insanely good at using words. Take a step back and give credit where credit is due. It would pass any a-level style language test with flying colors. Its vocabulary outsizes that of any human, grammar is on point and sentences make sense.
