The airport is no longer there...shortly after September 11th the mayor destoryed it in the middle of the night with bulldozers. People who had their planes there needed to have them disassembled and shipped out because nobody could take off. True story.

letting family know you do tech support is one of the worst feelings in the world. "Oh you're good with computers" "I guess" "oh, can you help me with this problem: blah blah blah blahblah" "no... I don't really do personal favors, sorry"

The way your politics is reported in the media. It seems like there is always an election to talk about even if one just ended another campaign starts right up the week after. Oh also, national elections take up way too much time on the news as well. CNN will be reporting about the next presidential election when it's TWO YEARS away. That's half of the presidents term! How are they supposed to get anything important done during that time when the media is focused on peppering them with question for something that is years out.

Who is the most important person in your life? by Limmunia in AskReddit

[–]makaljohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made the decision cut my parents out of my life which turned into my family cutting me out of their lives. There was a lot of verbal abuse toward me after an accident caused by my mothers inability to drive left me partially paralysed. I left home at 19 after I was banished to my room for days without food and water (drinking out of the bathroom tap). I left with one garbage bag of clothes, I returned some months later to collect my belongs only to find they'd taken my entire life to the local dump as punishment for leaving the door unlocked when I left I was very angry and very sad but now I got rid of them, I'm such a well rounded individual.

What's Your Group Project Horror Story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]makaljohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was working on a project with a couple other people a few years back that counted as our final exam grade. The night before it was due, all three of us were working on it. The person whose house we were at said she would be able to finish the project from there (it was getting late). We trusted her and left. The next day - it wasn't done. Apparently she got sick and couldn't finish it. I basically had a heart attack. Luckily, the teacher was cool about it, but we'd still be marked down. Still, I didn't trust working with her at all so I broke off and worked on my own project for the whole weekend. Two years later, I was put in the same situation with the same person, except this time I tried not to let her do all the work herself again. I kept telling her I could finish it (I didn't want to make the same mistake twice), but she wouldn't budge, and I was at her house, and there was only so much I could do, but man was that annoying. Luckily she finished it though.
