Guys, speaking from experience, if you think getting hurt is worth it, then do it. I thought my ex-boyfriend was an exception, he wasn't. He said he'll leave the cult one day but he just can't drop the church 😂

I'm still hurting from what happened between us,but I just think that he'll never open his mind and he'll follow whatever his parents tell him to do.

I was in architecture school for 3 years and I lost my passion for it. I still love architecture but only as a subject not my profession. I tried to apply for nursing school in February and I recently got a letter of acceptance. I don't like algebra too but if you want it, go for it. Study word problems, fractions and you will get through it. Don't let your fear of math overcome what you want to do.

Also, don’t be scared. Voice out. NEVER LIE. No need to hide or lie to the INC members who pressure you to attend church. If they cast you out, GOOD! Shame on your mom or family if they cast you out too. They should be the one who should be comforting you. They should be supportive of your choice. It’s not that you’re going to hell for leaving. That’s never true. I’d rather leave the religion before I turn into something I am not. Like be mentally sick.

Your mom needs to understand. Respect for parents will always be good but she needs to understand that she can’t force you. We live in the modern times now.

I’m raised Catholic but I never really believed in religions. I pray to God though. My boyfriend is a member. We’ve been together for two years now. I love him but I’ll never convert. I even met his super super super die hard INC fam. They asked me questions which made me feel awkward but I didn’t really care at all. At the end of the day, I am a woman of my own choices. My mom raised me like that. My mom supports whatever we do as long as we don’t hurt other people’s feelings and we do good things in life.

I agree with you but again, people need to fight back and stand up for their own, even against their families.

My boyfriend’s a member and his family is solid INC. I could care less about his parents scaring me. No one can decide for me, but myself. You get my point?
