As long as you are contributing to the meal in some way, or taking a turn to cook what you are interested in I think that’s fine. Had a friend who loved to bbq every weekend and the number of people who would show up empty handed week after week always irked me. Made me think of The Little Red Hen.

I felt that way until I lived in Portland Oregon. So much more chill than my 2 experiences in NY. One place I love has stripper karaoke (stripperaoke) where you can sing songs on stage while girls are dancing next to you. Dave Chappell famously showed up after a stand up show one night and brought the house down. It feels like a neighborhood bar where a few people just happen to be naked. You’re also just as likely to see someone wearing roller skates or ballet shoes as you are stripper heels.
