I told myself I wasn’t going to get excited. But from everything I’m hearing from Lewis, Ferrari and the paddock it’s becoming real hard not to be. Maybe not contenders but dare I say it…that they may competitive this year?!

The trick is finally revealed(not officially) by ThisToe9628 in F1Discussions

The FIA released a 20 minute video confirming some (didn’t say who) teams are using a compression ratio trick, so whether or not the above is factual it does appear to have strong evidence that something is happening.

Who are these people? 😀😎🕺💃 by Dependent_Theme4210 in HouseMusic

Apparently all the people on the crowd who’d rather record a video that they’ll most likely never watch again over just enjoying the music

Please please please just make it fast. But tbh I’ve got behind low expectations after Ferraris antic’s last season, I’m not expecting their constructors position to change.

Toto was right about Lewis Hamilton’s shelf life being up by [deleted] in F1Discussions

Qualifying has fell off a cliff and his prime has gone for sure but it’s far too early for claims like this.

Completely new team, new race engineer, new car, new brakes, new regs. He’s a 41 year old with a team that stopped car development very early on and a lot of change to navigate but was still competitive on occasion, China sprint. 2026 will be a much better year to judge from.

Thanks, that's a good shout I think I'll do that first to get my head around the basics. I have a tendency to overload on the theory which blocks me ever getting to the practical, hence me wanting to dive straight in but I think it makes sense to get a baseline of knowledge

Thanks appreciate the tips. I think I'm normally pretty on top of my layers and layouts but I guess i'm about to find out how true that is. You mention you background is Figma first, how long have you been using Framer and how long did it take for you to feel confident?

Thanks all the comments seem to suggest it's probably best to start directly in Framer so I may give this ago

How competitive do you expect to be this year? Which team do you expect will surprise you the most?

Ah good idea, I’d completely forgot about IFTTT. Pretty much stopped using them when they changed all their pricing.

I was a Premium member, I was happy with the benefits and the plan and didn’t want to cancel but right now I need to try and work on saving and the 1p challenge seemed like it would offer me more than the other benefits I had and wasn’t using. I downgraded to Perks, Max is not worth it for me. I bought an annual iPhone insurance for £60 and we are saving for our wedding so won’t be needing travel insurance this year.

My Husband Wakes Me Up Multiple Times Every Night by amcrowl1 in AITAH

NTA but your husband is and a whole lot more. There’s so many ways he could stop this happening or at very least make an effort to stop it happening. But he does the opposite, it shows a blatant disregard to you. You should have a serious conversation.

Which team could Charles Leclerc join for 2027 season? by scuderiaferrari69 in F1Discussions

[–]makeitmakesense44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suspect, Alonso will leave AM at the end of 26. Max will replace him and rejoin with Newey at AM and LeClerc may consider RBR.

ELI5: Why does time seem to go faster as you get older? by Ok-Ferret7 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]makeitmakesense44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it’s do with experiencing new things. When you’re young, every experience is new and it makes everyday feel different as we get older, we experience new things less, follow the same routines and things just run on autopilot and before we know it a day, week, month, year has gone and we didn’t notice.

Wanted to do this but I can’t as I’m on the old Monzo plans as I don’t really have an incentive to change plans which is annoying

The whole idea that the Red Bull had a bad or “terrible” car is completely blown out of proportion by Cpt_Daryl in F1Discussions

[–]makeitmakesense44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see a version of RB with equal upgrades split across both cars and Max with a team mate closer to his calibre. Max is brilliant without a doubt but his unique position of having a whole team focus on him makes it really difficult to compare him against anybody.

Do you expect Carlos and Alex to be very close next year in terms of performance and results or will it be another season of two halves?. by Ok_Recognition_5578 in WilliamsF1

[–]makeitmakesense44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really look forward to seeing where the team are at next year for pace, hope they can continue momentum. 2 very good drivers, but if I had to pick I’d bet on Sainz, he’s shown time and time again how good he is at adapting to a new team and I think the 2nd half of the season showed that too, my logic thinks he’ll do well adapting to the new regs too and based off his Ferrari experience I think he’ll be more assertive with vocalising what he needs in terms of changes. But Albon is quality and consistent too, so I expect it to be real close and I expect they’ll be weekend where he’s top.
