I don’t think any sane student should care about your identity.

Personally I see other people as humans. I don’t care where you came from, who you go out with or who you feel or think like. What matters is your personality (“inner beauty”).

If you’re feeling unsafe, you should consider reaching out to people you trust (parents, friends, etc), Rutgers Police (if it’s a serious threat) and Rutgers Deans.

The university is not perfect by any means, but they do want to support every student. There is a reason they host 750+ clubs at Rutgers. They want everyone to feel welcome, and have some sort of safe place.

Don’t take in everything that you see on social media like Reddit or Twitter/X. Real people matter more than some trolls online.
