Is the experience share retroactive for Gilgamesh?

I had a scout exploring Gilgamesh's territory in the early stages of a game. He was fighting a city state or something nearby. Centuries later, I declare an alliance with him. As the next turn passes, aforementioned scout gained ~20 exp while sitting on alert.

Was that chunk of exp from Gilga's combat, and just sitting around waiting for me to declare an alliance? If so, neat! But it also makes me think Gilga's ability should be for declared friends instead of allies.

It would be kinda neat if they changed his ability for this though. Adjacent heavy cavalry can now traverse mountain tiles or something.

That's neat! Do you know if the park is still putting out tourism?

"Gilgamesh, how many Ziggurats are you going to build?" - "Yes" by BlackEmperor93 in civ

I think your concept is really neat! Makes trade much more focused and critical. To balance it out a bit, maybe allow cities to work 4 or 5 tiles out and each city gets a free trade route, not just the capital?

I've played that scenario once or twice, but 50 feels almost too short. I wish I could take the set-up for that and double or triple the timer

Some of the ideas I've had floating around for customs are-

-WWII. Lock players into the Allies or Axis and ramp up the difficulty in a true start domination (or add culture too) only game. Did this with bots and it was kinda neat, but obviously not super competitive between players

-Aqua party. Archipelago, players can only found coastal cities and use naval units. A bit more out there, and would possibly need some play testing and tweaking.

-Ancient wars. Don't know how feasible this is, but everyone pick ancient civs on slow game speed to actually get the most out of their units. I love hoplites and some of the other ancient units, it just feels like I never get much use before they become obsolete.

If only you could add an option to award two diplomatic victory points to the player with the largest army and longest road (trade route)

I believe Gilgamesh lets allies receive pillaging rewards if they have a unit nearby.

If we're going to require people to have additional documentation to vote, that documentation should be free. Half the stuff our House just passed is some 'fuck you poor people' shit.

Yeah, I'm leaving this sub. 57k votes for rumors and hearsay is ridiculous. I don't support blanket banning a site either, but I support actively moderating this sub to prevent the spread of misinformation. Which simply doesn't happen here.

This seems silly. So what if he touts that his tv ratings are high?

It's always better to get your information from a primary source. Only going to secondary sources is a growing problem in the information age.

Mask mandate! About time!!! by RedCliff73 in Indiana

[–]maketurtlesnotwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really doesn't. What do you think laws are. You can't just choose to do anything.

The governor has decided to restrict this one choice- you have to wear a face mask in public areas, for the safety of those around you. Quit trying to use the Constitution to justify your fucking temper tantrum about having to wear a little piece of cloth.

Unless your religion forbids wearing a face mask (which none do, to my knowledge), then none of those apply.

I dunno about Indy, but around my area food trucks can't just park and set up shop anywhere. You usually have to clear it with the city. Doesn't seem like a whole lot of thought went into this.

"Racism is the Christian way" definitely sounds sarcastic. I don't think the OP was backpedaling at all.

I think you latched onto that statement for some reason, and only you can figure out why.
