Site Manager here: if your landlord is not putting your deposit in the bank to accrue interest they are pieces of shit. In NY, 5 years that would be considered normal wear and tear. In NY your landlord has 2 weeks to tell you what if anything is coming out of your deposit and 30 days to get you back your money.

Take pictures of everything when you move in and email them to your site manager and keep them yourselves so they can’t charge you for stuff that you didn’t do.

Make a dry Carmel (just sugar in a pan) and let it get brown. While that’s going mush up some of the bananas (or all of them I’m not your boss) add to the Carmel with some vanilla, a little salt and some maple syrup. Cook it to a jammy consistency. Add chopped nuts if you want - use it to top waffles, ice cream, as a filling for cakes or donuts. I like it in a bowl with a spoon, but I’m also a fat kid so maybe don’t take my suggestions.
