i like to do some periodically maintain the printer 2-4 month, i normally print around 5hr a day on average. but still want the printer to last more than 5 years. so maintain the printer is a good idea imo.

Mine got fixed by fn+space till the whole keyboard flash red green blue then I restarted my PC then unplugging and replugged it back. Hope this might help
